I'm not a fan of either team, but they get the attention because they're baseball two most popular teams. I know it can get frustrating, but you can't expect people on here, or in the media, to talk about something in which there isn't a lot of interest.
I'm a Jays fan, but I understand the Sox-Yankees focus even within our own division. Last season was the first in ten years when they didn't finish 1-2 in the division, they have the biggest fan bases in the country, and their players (Manny, Ortiz, Jeter, A-Rod, etc.) are among the most popular and well-known in all of baseball.

ABSOLUTELY.IF baseball didnt have the redosx and yankees the game wouldnt be so interesting i mean the rivarly and how popular these two teams are around the country.this is a fact you can go to a orioles home game when they,re playing the redsox and there will be more redsox fans than orioles fans same thing when there playing the yankees.besides the redsox and yankees dont have the #1 and #2 payroll in baseball for nothing. and yes thats why these two teams get more media publication more than any other teams.
PS:anybody who says the baseball world doesnt revolve around the redsox and yankees they,re just haters of these two teams.thats why when the redsox and yankees both make the playoffs, the tv ratings are so high.and when they dont make he playoffs, its so boring to watch.

It is a good rivalry just like many others in both baseball and the other sports. Thus their passionate fans like to comment. It also helps that both teams have been fairly successful of late (1996-2006) with many dramatic good games especially in the playoffs. But the history between the teams has also been good which has built the base. I would imagine many basketball fans would love to see the old Celtics-Lakers rivalry alive again.

The Yankees would win one hundred video games this 365 days. Texiera and Jeter both are MVP applicants. The red Sox are six video games in the back of them and attempt to carry on to a wild card lead. uncomplicated determination.

Yes it does.
Each year these two team are perennial front runners to go to the world series and happen to be the biggest rivalry in baseball. You put those two elements together and they will get most of the attention all year long.
I understand your frustration but there's not much you can do at this point.

Of course it doesn't. But those individuals with the pinstriped or crimson-coloured glasses can't ever understand that. For that matter, they seem to have trouble understanding that there are actually 30 teams out there and not just 2.
At the very least, YA needs to begin a separate category within the baseball one, specifically for people who can't see beyond those specifically-coloured glasses.
