If they were caught or suspected of steroid use?

Putting an footnote in the record books is a cop-out. If a player cheats and is caught, the commissioner should have the guts to ban them from baseball even if it is Bonds, Sosa, McGuire and they are drawing in fans. If they are allowed to keep playing, then the rest is meaningless.

If they're caught for steroid use their name should be torn out of the record books in public, in front of their families and friends.

Personally, I think if it is known that they used steroids, they should not even be included in the record books. But yes, if they must put them in, then they should have an asterisk

no i think their record should be abolish from the books just like frank robinson said. Barry bonds should be ban for life for hurting baseball.

I think yes, if they've failed tests...suspicion is not enough of a reason to tarnish someones achievements.
