Pete Rose: Back in the 1980's, Pete Rose agreed to a permanent ineligibility from baseball amidst accusations that he gambled on baseball games while playing for and managing the Reds; some accusations claimed that he bet on, and even against, the Reds.

Steroid abuse in MLB: Baseball players and owners have put in place a tougher policy against performance-enhancing drugs following increased attention created by a federal grand jury investigation into illegal steroid distribution.

People are idiots.

Why did it go un-mentioned during the broadcast on Sunday? He just tied for the most games started in the history of the national League and it is not mentioned. Four home runs in a row is talked about by everyone. Is this a West Coast/East Coast thing or just a small market issue?

Although we got swept I don't really feel bad. The Yankees held their own on the road with two young pitchers against Bostons best and should have won 2 out of 3 had it not been for 3 bad innings.

We need a new bull pen folks.

Bases are loaded, 2 outs. The ball is hit and drops into left field. The runner on third crosses home plate before the runner is thrown out at third. Does this run count?

since most people feel that if/when he "breaks" Aaron's record is thru cheating....is there any certain number of home runs that he can hit to restore his honor? like what if he hits 850? or is integrity a one time thing? once you lose it, you don't get it back?

cuz i don't care if he hits 1,000, he still doesn't have the class that Aaron did. not to start a whole new question, but take Pete Rose. i'm not saying one way or another, but he has a lot of records, and i don't see HIM in the HOF...yet.

the Nolan Express should of course be on that list, he has the margin of over 1000 strike outs from the 2nd all time strike outs
Roger Clemence is, of course, the 2nd. Big Unit is 3rd

I was at a Pacific Coast League Game today, and the pitcher's arm snapped (literally). We had to call an ambulance to get him to the hospital.
