Baseball - January 2007

Keep in mind that outside of a lot of media hype, there has been no real evidence of this. Barry has denied using, he has not failed any steriod testing. Urine samples from years ago have been tested recently and no evidence of steriods were found. Many speak of the weight gain, but I am 32 and I have gained over 40 pounds since high school and I am not a fat guy. Do you really believe it or do you just want to.

Oh yeah, the book of shadows hardly counts as evidence. If it did, Barry would be in jail.

I was recently at Boomers at the batting cages, swinging away with that rental metal bat and a few times I hit the ball on weird parts of the bat that made my hands hella hurt. After about a hundred pitches my ring finger was swollen to twice its normal size. If I buy batting gloves, will this help absorb the shock the next time I hit the ball with the very end of the bat or wherever it is I hit it to receive those painful shockwaves? If not, is there anything that would help?

Any techniques on how can I determine what kind of ball is coming?
example a curve ball, slider?
I noticed the threads is not visible when its a fastball I saw threads when its a curve ball.
Any suggestions?

Or what? Saint Louis was the top team with a winning percentage of only .516. All the other divisions had 2 or 3 teams with better, even much better, records. What's up with that? Was the NL Central just especially tough, or maybe did the Cards just peak at the right time???

Would the Red Sox fans now be Yankees fans? And Yankees now be Red Sox fans? I'm just really cerious :)

And for those hwo think it's going to create Apocalypse, don't worry, i'm sure it won't because Apocalypse isn't done my sports.

I'm just wondering how the fans would react to the two best team history wide.

For my English class we have to do a research paper on different countries throughout the world. For my paper I decided to do the Dominican Republic. I need to provide information on what the country is famous for and I am having some trouble. Since I am a baseball player, I know that the Dominican Republic has some of the best baseball leagues, teams and players in the world. I need to find about 3-4 more things the country is famous for. Unless the newly signed Sammy Sosa gives Gagne some Roid-Action, he is not gonna play most of the year.... I'd be starting Otsuka, he has nasty stuff as did great last year after the closer was traded to Milwaukee. Is this Otsuka's call or just another bonehead move by Rangers managers?
