Keep in mind that outside of a lot of media hype, there has been no real evidence of this. Barry has denied using, he has not failed any steriod testing. Urine samples from years ago have been tested recently and no evidence of steriods were found. Many speak of the weight gain, but I am 32 and I have gained over 40 pounds since high school and I am not a fat guy. Do you really believe it or do you just want to.
Oh yeah, the book of shadows hardly counts as evidence. If it did, Barry would be in jail.

If Barry's urine had tested positive after agent's seized the samples from year's past, we all would have heard about it. It would have mysteriously leaked out. No pun intended.

So TT, what you and most everyone else is saying is that we do not have definitive proof one way or another, but the circumstantial evidence indicates that it is highly likely Barry used steriods / performance enhancing drugs.
Consider that, with 9 months notice that testing would occur, about 6% of MLB players failed a not too stringent steroids test.
Any intelligent and thoughtful player who was using could have passed this test by getting off them prior to the test and / or using readily available masking agents.
What this tells us is that steroids / ped's were common in baseball. So, it's not much of a stretch to link steroids to Barry, what with his growth, his HR rate and his age.
Now I'm not condeming Barry, not at all.
I think he, and all the others, were only doing exactly what the owners and MLB executives wanted him to do. Bonds, Sosa, McGwire et al made baseball billions of dollars, no exaggeration between 1993 and 2002. The average franchise increased in value by $200 million, times 30 franchises = $6 billion in increased wealth. And the tag line during this era?
"Chicks dig the long ball".
It's hypocritical of the media and the owners and MLB to be bashing Barry when all he did was exactly what they wanted, and he did it better than anyone.
But it's also naive to believe that Barry, and many, many others, were not using ped's.

The circumstantial evidense of steriod use is excellent, but there is not any proof of dishonest. The entire MLB avid gamers might have used steriods and much more of them did than most of us will ever get to listen to about. Why? For the reason that an embarassed league likes the entire bad press about steroids being directed at one scapegoat. They don't want anybody speakme about the place the entire 100 MPH fastballs went or why so few gamers are hitting 30+ house runs now. Simply hold speakme about Bonds.

What urine samples were'recently'tested? I used to work for the medical laboratory who did the steroid testing on a bunch of these ballplayers almost 3 years ago,(I am NOT kidding) and federal agents came in 2 years ago and confiscated numerous samples as part of the BALCO investigation. (BTW, I did NOT work in the department that does the drug testing, so I don't know who was positive and who wasn't. But I was there the day the Feds came in with a court order and seized the samples) If they then re-tested those samples, I doubt you would have knowledge of whether they were positive or not, unless you are a federal agent.
Secondly, how many baseball players have their career year at the age of 36? Most ballplayers, especially hitters, are well over the hill by then. Prime years are age 27-32. And what made Bonds' head get so large? Lifting weights? HA HA HA.

The circumstantial evidense of steriod use is sweet, yet there is not any data of cheating. all the MLB gamers might have used steriods and so plenty extra of them did than maximum folk will ever get to take heed to approximately. Why? because of the fact an embarassed league likes each and all of the unfavorable press approximately steroids being directed at one scapegoat. they do no longer choose everybody speaking approximately the place each and all of the a hundred MPH fastballs went or why so few gamers are hitting 30+ abode runs now. in basic terms shop speaking approximately Bonds.

The so called investigators tried to state that he participated in steroid use earlier in his career by doctoring up some imaginary documents that they tried to tie him to. That was all a bunch of BS!!
The guy never took any illegal substances prior to 2001 which he clearly stated in his testimony. Had he lied he would be in jail. That should tell you how much BS these investigators are full of.
They are obviously looking to destroy Barry for their own personal gripes that they have against this man.
Barry did admit to use the cream like substance that Baclo gave him. He stated that he did not know that is was steroids, Yeah right. He had to have know considering the amount of weight mass he gained during the period he was using it.
Barry is guilty of making one bone head move to prolong his career and now he has to deal with to consequences. Those consequences will not be as severe as most people think.

Yes I think that he has definitely taken something to enhance his physical strength to play baseball. Barry Bonds is nothing but a self-centred idividual who has a huge ego and thinks about nothing else except himself.
He wants to be the new homerun champion but I don't think that most baseball fans will find his credibility that outstanding. He doesn't have much respect for anyone so why should anyone give him any. He's a disgrace if you ask me.

Look at the tapes of when he was with the Pirates and also when he first came to the Giants. Dudes head has just busted out from probably a 7 to a 9 1/2, I know of no exercises to increase (dramatically) your dome size. He is a roid user, him saying "never KNOWINGLY" pretty much says it all. Dude will probably blame Barry Zito if he does test positive for ROIDS, just like he blasted his teammate for his positive drug test, what a loser!

No I don't think he used steroids because if he did than he would admit to it well maybe after he breaks the Home Run record he actually will admit to it. He hates the public?
