Fans would stay with thier teams. But they wouldn't be happy having to drive to get to the games they once had to walk to.
Nice hypothetical question.

Good quesiton, and don't worry. I understand the "If" part clear. Most of the people don't even know what I mean when i ask a question with "If" lol!
Well anyways, i think that Boston fans will stay with there home town and be Yankees fan. And Vise-Versa for the New Yorkerns as well.
Though you can't really know because both are such great team (There! I said it! They are!) and it's really hard to be apart from the team you grew up with. Those loyal to Red Sox will stay Red Sox fans, and again, vise-versa with Yankees and there fans as well.
If the Twins ever moved away from Minnesota, i'd still be a Twins fan no matter what because they have been a part of my 15 years of life.

All Red Sox fans would move to New York and all Yankee fans will move to Boston. Red Sox will get a bigger budget because of bigger city=more fans. The Red Sox would win 50 World Series in the next 100 years. Red Sox would make a replica of Fenway park and yankees would destroy fenway park, the most lovable ball park left.

Are you going to keep asking this question every couple hours? How could it be that important to you, when you didn't even know how to spell Boston the first time you asked?
Look, in pro sports there's very little loyalty anymore. What I mean is fans are still loyal to their team, but most players are just there for the money. They'll go where they gotta go. Boston, New York, whatever.
I'd be willing to bet that if the teams switched towns, that evetnually the New Yorkers would embrace their Red Sox, and vice versa in Boston. The fans will go with the local team.
You think anybody in Houston cares about the Tennessee Titans now? (Remember, the Titans were the Oilers) No, they've got their own crappy team again.

A Rod would suck in the clutch wearing a Red Sox uniform.
People outside of Boston and New York would still hate both teams.

The Red sox would become stronger if Steinbrenner took them over and bought players for their roster. The old Yankees would start going down hill as they haven't won with the present team.

i think it will still be the same because the fans attitude will be the same. like they always say the red sox fans cares for the the red sox while the yankees fan cares about winning. so as far as the yankees is concern you can put any kind of team, as long as they win and win they will root for them and as for the red sox fan as long as they wear the red sox uniform and plays in boston they will root for them even if they are losers.

Look at the guys who have changed uniforms over the years. Roger Clemens and Johnny Damon are treated like gods in New York even though they spent several years beating the Yankees up before going there. Both groups of fans root for the uniform, whoever is wearing it, not the players themselves.

Well the thought that Yankee fans are only in NY and Red Sox fans are only in Boston is a stereotype.
So really your question is pretty ignorant.
Oh and please read through a grammar book, Junior.

That would never happen in this galaxy or in any other.Do you mean Red Sox fans moving to NY or the Red Sox team moving to NY either way I don't think it would matter.
