I your talking about the wold series the answer is NO. To me that belong to the NY Mets with the acquisition of MOISES ALOU and MISTER Green the all season. But in the American League the answer is YES if no the Japanese but if the RED SOX find a Closer for the Last OUT. The Team is well balance and if Drew does his Job and the team is out of injury the sky is the limit. The Japanese is going to give the inning the Red Sox need to win on most of his start. He is going to keep the game close.

Well it depends on what you call a win. Sure he can win 15 games and have a decent seasons. But for all that money he is being paid he needs to win more than 15. He needs to be at the front of the rotation and lead that team to the promise land for $100 millions dollars. A lot of questions are in motion, how will he adjust, can he pitch every five days and not six. All the questions will be answered this season.

I think the Japanese player will is what the team needs Manny and big papi can't just carry the team by themselves but you know Drew who used to be with the dodgers is coming over so with the 3 of them they should make a hell of a lineup and with the Japanese pitcher will hopefuly bring effort and courage to the Red SOX

i think they will because if you look at the past japanese baseball playes they had wuite the impact on basbeball ichiro kazahuro sasaki these are really great ball players i think he will have an amazing impact but i just dont think in the first year in mlb because all his career he ahs been pitching to japenese players they dont play the same way like amercan or should i say mlb type players so it will probaly take him a year to get comfortable in the league and then when his second year in the league comes he will be a candidate for the cy young award but i truly think he can do something with the red sox a=becasue he has all the great players on his team drew ramirez ortiz he just needto be consistent and he will be amazing

I think he will help the Sox. Drew is a wild card - injury prone the need to to settle who is going to close for them. I think he will have a great year if they can get the Rocket if he comes back. If they give him the same deal as the Astros did were he only has to play home games. He would be a great help for him during his first year. How would it be to have Schilling and the Rocket as mentors / teachers / people he could ask questions about the batters?

No - I dont think the Bosox will get past the 1st round wild-card playoffs. I know the fans will LOSE because they have to foot the bill for the outrageous amount of money spent for unproven & average players. Enjoy the increase in ticket prices, consessions, team appearal, etc...
Didnt any team learn from the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals? They picked up players like Scott Spiezio, Preston Wilson, Adam Weinwright, David Eckstein, Jeff Weaver, Chris Duncan, Ya Molina, etc...who were released (in general) from the Big Spender clubs! The Cardinals won with TEAM CHEMISTRY not multi-million dollar free agents!

If Dice-K is everything he is hyped to be, then he can only help. I guess with over $100 million invested in him, he better be at least a 15-18 game winner.

As in every season, they have to contend with the Yankees and to a lesser extent Toronto as top dog in the AL East.

Sometimes when you roll the Dice, your outcome isn' the best. I see him a 10 game winner at least. 13 at max.

Enough for the Red Sox to win it all? It's another Dice-K Roll.
