Kenny Rogers pine-tar tactic? Seems to me that they went down hill after that.... the motivation and over all team moral was low because of the controversy.

The Cardinals were worse than the Pirates after the All-Star break. The White Sox had 7 more victories than the Cardinals in the regular season and didn't clinch the playoffs.

Saying the Yankees deserve to go to the World Series is like saying A-rod will take a paycut, both will never happen.
We beat the Muts, The Padres, and the Tigers. I just bought the official lockerroom t-shirt they had and it looks damn good,

Are all the Cardinal players (active and inactive roster) eligible to receive a World Series ring, or does the ring only go to those players who actually played in the World Series?

For me, they'd have to be #1 since it's the first championship I've got to enjoy (In 1982, I was 2 years old, couldn't really enjoy that one). Obviously the 1987 team will always be one of my favorites with Ozzie, Coleman, McGee, Herr, Clark, Pendleton, Tudor and Worrell, among others. The '04 team has still be up there, even though a lot of those guys are on the '06 team. Still the '04 team had a couple of my all-time favorite Cardinals in Woody Williams and Mike Matheny. What do YOU think?

Jason Isringhausen of course... He's a great pitcher but....he does blow saves a lot and perhaps that's part of the reason we didn't win in '04...
