Kenny Rogers pine-tar tactic? Seems to me that they went down hill after that.... the motivation and over all team moral was low because of the controversy.

No, I think they got beat.

Kenny Rogers "pine tar" game was the ONLY game the Tigers won.

How did Kenny Rogers cause the Cards to win game one before he had even pitched?

Kenny Rogers didn't throw balls into the stands when the ball was hit to him.

This World Series was the clear definition of "That's why they make them play the game." Almost EVERYONE had the Tigers figured as the CLEAR and dominant favorites going in.

The team's moral took a beating when young starting pitchers starting chucking baseball's all around the stadium.

Yes, that was a major distraction for the team, but the Cardinals just plain old out played the Tigers.

There are no jinx's. The Tigers simply did not play good fundamental baseball, and were beat by an average team.

No...the Cardinals beat them fair and square. Tigers fans and
the rest of baseball fans who aren't Cardinal supporters need
to stop making excuses. St. Louis was the best team when it
counted the most.

No way, the Tigers played like they were rookies. How many times did their pitchers throw the ball away to allow the Cardinals to score? I don't know if the pressure got to them, but it sure seems like it.

That's nonsense!

The St Louis Cardinals beat The Tigers fair and square.

There is no crying in baseball.

I think that having that week off totally screwed them up! They didn't seem focused at all. And the ump in last nights' game was
a total ***! Calling strikes when they should've been called balls. But you know what? Its great that they got that far, and hey their is always next year for sure!

Well they did seem to go downhill after that but the Cards played much better baseball all around
