Well my point is that for example in Game 7 NLCS, would Izzy have been able to keep that 2 run lead, especially with Beltran and the bases loaded?

Hard to say. I think Wainwright was just one of the pieces that came together at the right time to make this happen. Luck and timing are huge in sports.

yes they would have still won... the cardinals closer had little to do with them winning the world series and NOTHING to do with them losing in '04... yes, wainwright did a great job but i think Izzy would have performed the same... as for '04 the sox dominated and thats all there is to it... they were destined
