For the majority of the season, the New York Metropolitans seemed to be the lone bright spot of the National League, the only exception being the Dodgers' run after the trading deadline. With Pedro and Glavine, the Mets' two best starters, succumbing to injruy late in the season, the N.L. Championship is seemingly up for grabs.

Whoever wins the title, the American League's dominance this year has been more than apparent. Their interleague record is staggering. Powerhouses such as the Detroit Tigers, the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox and the Boston Red Sox are enormous postseason threats to any team the National League can dish out.

When it comes to the end of October, will the National League even stand a chance in the World Series?

The Dodgers are smoking and at the top of the NL west. They have some great talent and are on a roll. The Angels can still catch the always hot in September As. If they win their respective divisions can they make it through the playoffs. On the other hand both NY teams are at the top of their divisions. Can they sustain it?

This was yesterday's Fox Trivia question. I missed the answer and wasn't able to find it online. I'm guessing Ted Williams or Jimmy Fox.

Even if the white sox swept us in that 4 game series coming up on Monday, The Tigers would still be in first place.

Isn't it nice to know, that even though the white sox have 9 of 12 so far, they are trying to catch us but cant quite make it?
