who are they going to replace him with.....jorge velandia???? I think not. Juan uribe has the second strongest arm for a shortstop in the MLB, behind only rafeal furcal. He is top five for the amount of pop he gives you for his size with only maybe ray durham, and bill hall ahead of him. His average and his plate discipline are awful, but remember that those will improve with time. Kenny williams could have easily given up on joe crede before this season by signing some low life like vinny castilla, but he decided to make the right choice by sticking with crede and now he is reaping the rewards for it. Young players need time to develop into complete players. I guarantee uribe hits above .280 with 25 plus homers and at least 85 RBI next year if he gets 150 or more games for the white sox. Young players like uribe need to know that management has confidence in their abilities, and by giving uribe another year to mature it will make him a much more confident, and well-rounded player. Uribe will be an all star next year so long as the front office doesn't give up on him by letting him walk. I mean kenny williams has really proved himself as a GM, with the moves that he has made, but letting uribe go would definitely take a hit on his reputation if uribe dominates on another team---say the royals---who need a shortstop. Cya later man, and let's pray the white sox keep him, although since I'm a red sox fan I hope epstein goes after him.

no. he pissed ozzie off but then again every player pisses ozzie off at some point. the sox dont have anyone in the minors to replace him with and the free agents arent any better.
