Tigers lost and WSox will win and cut lead to 4.5
Yankees will win and extend lead to 5.5.
Is that too hard to for YOU to understand
And believe me, if Yankees were in Central div., they'd be running away with it. Get real

Whoa now. If the Yankees played in the Central, they wouldn't get to play Baltimore and Tampa Bay 19 times each. Depending on who they replaced (for the sake of the argument, let's say for some reason they don't replace anyone) then they play the Tigers, the White Sox (who took 2 of 3 from them recently), the Twins and the Indians (who despite their poor record are a damn good team). Their only easy wins would come from K.C. In the East, they have Boston (who obviously isn't much competition right now) and Toronto (ditto with Boston). Considering the cupcake schedule that the Yanks had at the beginning of the year coupled with the problems they had, they'd be fighting for a playoff spot if they played in the Central, not up by 5.5.

white sox lost. They are 5 1/2 games out. Even IF the yankees win tonight, they'd be 5.5 up.
But I understand yankee fans have a hard time with math.
And you should count your blessings, young man.
If The Tigers were in the same division as the yankees, they would be 5 games in front of them.

I never thought the Yankees would have won the series before they even played the game today. If the Yankees beat Schilling the Red Sox should look to trade some guys for prospects because they are done.
