Here's my picks:
1. Dave Blaney (#22 Caterpillar Toyota) - In the later part of the season, Blaney's #22 was the only Toyota consistently running in the top 20 spot. He would run solid throughout the race and his team had consistent pit stops. Series leaders Johnson and Gordon often found themselves drafting off Blaney when caught in traffic. Blaney finishes the season in 31st not only saving Bill Davis Racing in the top 35 race, but the top running Toyota of all.

2. Clint Boyer (#07 Jack Daniels Chevy) - While veteran RCR Driver, Kevin Harvick barely wins the Daytona 500 nudging Mark Martin by a fraction of a second, sophomore driver Boyer finishes in the Top 10....ON HIS LID!!! He then finishes the season in 3rd.

3. Mark Martin (#01 Army Chevy) - Okay, for a couple years now Mark "The Kid" Martin has been announcing his pending retirement. And yes, every year he races again. This year was a standout. Look at his stats. He's solid and when he straps up with a good ride, it's on!!

I'm looking to buy a specific diecast car (Sterling Marlin 2004 130th Kentucky Derby), and I found several sites that sell it, but I'm not sure of their reliability. What are the best sites to buy diecasts from? And I need a site that sells diecasts other than the standard paint schemes, even if they don't sell this specific one, it would be nice for future reference.

Here are the sites that sell the one I'm looking for, if anyone knows anything about them:

the real answer is, it all depends on wehter or not it benefits a Hendrick`s team driver.!!!
this past year they restarted a race after 3 hours rain delay because Gordon & Johnson were way down in the 30s for placement, another race was canceled because Gordon was leading, and they called it just as Newman was ready to pass Gordon., Why wasnt that race restarted after 3 hours ?

Several times over the last few years Nascar has penalized teams by not allowing the Crew Chief to come to the track! In some cases the cars ran just as good or better!
Is the crew cheif allowed to have communication with the subsitute crew cheif during the race? Can the crew cheif that is suspended buy a ticket and come to the race? If so do they set with the fans, or do they get a special place to set where they can see better than if they were in the pits and then relay information? This penalty seems to me to be a joke unless there is no contact allowed between the crew chief and the team during the race!
How does this really work?
Take Care!

I mean, why not? Would that be cool or what? It would complement and fill the gap between the truck and cup series. It would be a complete marketing circle for the car makers currently in Nascar plus it might force Toyota to build a V8 rear wheel drive Supra!

So give me a constructive answer on what you think.

It's been a rumor read on Jayski.com. One point Nascar made was how long would those body styles be around in the future considering the Mustang is the only one that never went away.
However, I think they will be around long enough to be worth it for them to do it. Plus people have really been pushing to seperate the Nationwide Series from the Sprint Cup series either by changing the car's or by allowing comitted season Cup drivers to compete but not giving them any points since it's become a Cup drivers easy pickin's.

Both idea's are good and would be good for everyone involved including the fans!

So tell me what you think.................

I was watching Dale the Movie a few days ago and the ending got me wondering if Dale Earnhardt would have won the race if the caution didnt come out, the only reason im wondering this is cause so much had happened to him on the final few laps on almost every race he was contending for the win, So would it be another last lap pass or would he hold them off?
Im just curious as to what you guys think, Im not trying to say he wouldnt have won

I think Nascar should get rid of this new piont standings, because it is not fair to the other drivers for one,two it is also not far that the driver leading the points before the chase starts usaully does'nt win the Championship, the driver that usually wins the Championship did not EARN it.

Does Nascar need to look at itself about how it enforces its own rules. They started off by cheating Mark Martin out of a win at the beginning of the year and they have been interpreting the rules differently all year long depending on who you are!!!

I don't get why the top money guys should get into the race automatically. I would love to see Nascar set the field by the actual qualifying times. Thats not to say they shouldn't have them at all, anyone can have a bad day at qual, maybe the top 12 drivers make the race and the rest of the field is set on speed. You have guys that consistantly run badly and their in because of the owners points. I think it would give the whole season a different feel if we had 40 teams running for go or go home spots and give guys from smaller teams a better chance to actually run races. How many times this year did you have a driver qual in the 15th spot only to be sent home??
I think 12 guaranteed spots is enough -- leave the other 31 open for the guy who earns it that week at that track.
Anyone else with any suggestions throw them out Nascar won't listen but halfway through the chase it was a done deal and I think the fans deserve better than a one team two car playoff season

1. Michael Waltrip: Makes so many commericals, but is so terrible on the race track.

2. Kenny Wallace: No career wins in Nextel Cup, but is so popular with the fans, because he's on SPEED Channel's NASCAR Today.

3. Ryan Newman: Hasn't won a race or finished in the top-10 in points since 2005.

Ok, after the first 26 races there is always a fairly big difference in the the points between 1 and 12, here is what I think they should do to give credit where credit is do, for every 25 to 50 points that the leader in points is ahead of second and so on and so forth there should be a 10 point difference. for example if this is how the points went after 26 race
leader 5000
2nd -250
3rd -375
4th -425
5th -450
6th -525
7th -600
8th -625
9th -650
10th -700
11th -725
12th -775

It would then start the chase like this

Leader 5000
2nd -50
3rd -75
4th -85
5th -90
6th -105
7th -120
8th -125
9th -130
10th -140
11th -145
12th -155

please let me know what you think of that style of chase format.
