There hasn't been anymore news yet. Seems like they're taking forever to make a decision, but I guess it's just because of Thanksgiving.

Kahne under investigation after incident at H'stead
Police looking into altercation with track security guard
Nextel Cup driver Kasey Kahne is under investigation by the Homestead Police Department for pushing a track security guard to the ground Friday before the Craftsman Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
A conflict ensued between Kahne and the security guard after Kahne could not provide the proper credential for his brother, Kale Kahne, in order to enter the drivers' motorhome lot inside the speedway, according to Police Capt. Tom Foglia.
After the incident, Foglia said, the security guard complained his blood pressure had escalated. An emergency vehicle was called and the security guard was taken to the infield care center.
Foglia did not have the name of the security guard or his condition as of early Saturday afternoon.
"We are looking into the matter; the detective is handling it," Foglia added.
After Cup practice on Saturday, Kahne said, "It was all a misunderstanding."
NASCAR officials are aware of the incident and said the sanctioning body will not take action until the local police conclude their investigation.
"We can't comment on that right now," NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp said.
Kahne will start third in Sunday's Ford 400, the season finale.
He didn't get in trouble yet.

I believe it was a publicity stunt to change his image now that he is gonna be driving the #9 Budweiser Dodge. He had to get away from the little innocent boy toy for older women image that he has now. I mean he died his hair, mouthed off in an interview, and this whole guard thing. I bet it will be settled out of courts with very little description of what happened, but as of now they are just waiting for a good moment to release more. Probably around banquet time.

He was mad because a guard wouldn't let his brother into the infield during a busch race. he pushed the guard to the ground and the police are investigating the situation. NASCAR is not going to take any actions until he is convicted.
