Success. Success breeds jealousy.

And it just isnt Hendrick. In the past, RCR in Dale's heyday, Richard Petty, among others have been accused of cheating in times of great success. Yes there has been some proof of the 48 and 24 having bent the rules at some races, but if they arent caught, then they arent cheating (unless something sinister is going on, which I doubt).

If I was owning a team, doing quite well, and other teams are accusing me of cheating, I would be quite proud, as more likely, they are just jealous of the success.

First of all, I do not believe that Rick Hendrick is condoning cheating. I suspect that out of the 3 crew chiefs working the 3 Hendrick cup cars, there is one renegade that for whatever the reason feels a need to "push" the rules.

This is not to say that other crew chiefs for other cup teams are not "bending" the rules, it's just that this specific Hendrick cup team has an A+ cup car and driver to start with... something most of the other cup teams don't have. EXAMPLE: Mikey Waltrip could be spotted 25 additional horsepower and I doubt he could win, even with cheating.

I will leave it up to your imagination as to which Hendrick crew chief that might be.

Reacher

It's only cheating if you get caught! But the ones the Hendrick crew chiefs got caught for were a little more serious than the others. Hence the longer suspensions and bigger fines.

Reacher: Hendrick has 4 cup cars!

Teams have cheated for years. I remember the story of Darrel Waltrip when he was the Champion. They used to only run the cars through inspection before the race and they would put ball bearings in the frame so it would be heavy enough. Then when he'd get on the track and heading around the turn, he'd pull a lever and the ball bearings would roll down in to the infield grass which made his car alot lighter.

Once again, jelousy rears it's ugly head.

People will always want what they can't have. Rick Hendrick has NASCAR by the nut$ack right now, and everyone is going to try to break his stronghold by throwing what they can at him.

You take a long, hard enough look at ANY car in the pits on any given Sunday, and you will find a rules infraction of some kind. Some are more subtle, some are more outrageous. Some get caught, some skate.

I just hope that someone can figure out a way to lessen the need for teams to feel like they need to skirt the rules to even have a chance at being competitive. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want NASCAR to adopt the IROC mentality, but they are taking steps to make things a bit more level to start with. The COT is a step in the right direction.

I can't wait till next year, I am jonesing already!

You are right about the others but it bugs me the most about J.J. is 'cause he has been the Cup winner the past two years.

People forget that Chad was busted for it and was suspended for six weeks this season for rule violations.

And considering it was his fourth suspension in six years should bug everybody.

I think NASCAR forgot all of the cheaters. Something must be done about this. This is the thing that bugs me the most about the sport, it's gotta stop or I'll stop watching it again.

I agree with Gloria_5 !!! PLUS... Knaus has been suspended 6 times in the last 4 year's. I believe those are the #'s.
naughty,naughty,naughty Chad !!! lol.
Just follow the root's,back to the beginning.... Cheating and breaking the rule's / Law's running Moonshine !!! But they'll be fewer way's to cheat, Next year !! Then.... They'll ''all'' figure out how to get around the new one's. If they wan't to keep a job that is !!!

Because they won the championship. It's Hendrick. He didn't "cheat"-the crew chiefs push the rules, they have to. They got caught.

First of all it's Hendrick, not Hendricks. And second and last, people turn into blithering fools, when they or their favorite team/driver fails to win a race.

It's because Hendricks is winning so they are more noticeable and also they have been caught cheeting before.
