Auto Racing - May 2007

Just a general question. How can you like one form of Motor Racing but not the other? I mean there is so many variations of racing like F-1, NASCAR, Champ car, Indycar, SCCA, and Le Mans. How can you like just one to me they're all good. Explain why and back up your answer.

took the lead at Talledega? Seems to me that they normally throw the flag the minute they see smoke. That played right in to Gordon winning #77. What do you think?

Am I the only one that sees a direct connection to the silly, cartoon-like appeal of professional wrestling and NASCAR races? I swear, every time a NASCAR event is held the collective I.Q. of the entire state drops twenty points.

I know Dale Sr. fans are EXTREMELY loyal, but FORD?!?!? Come on, even Sr. fans would bail on that sinking ship if they sold out to Ford, wouldn't they? I'm don't want to argue about if they will or not but what if they did.

Here is a question for Jr. fans and HMS bashers...
What if Jr. drove for HMS and started winning races. would people throw stuff at Gordon when he won? or would everyone jump ship and treat him with the same respect that Waltrip got just because they were teammates?

You know that stretch were even Michael Waltrip won 2 Daytona 500s and he and Junior dominated Daytona and Talladega. Did you accuse NASCAR of giving the races to DEI then ? Or were the cars just better. Or how about when Rousch was dominating the mile and a half downforce tracks ?
Did you accuse NASCAR of giving the races to Roush ? Or were the cars just better. Or did NASCAR make it so Tony Stewart won four chase races last year ?
