IRL
You got big and small ovals, road and street courses. And of course the greatest Spectacle in Motorsports -- The Indy 500.

F1 cars have a bit more acceleration, but IRL cars have more power and top-line speed.
Indy cars race on three types of tracks: street, road and ovals. F1 does not race on ovals.
With Indy cars, you can not only watch the beautiful sleek Indy cars, but also watch the beautiful, sleek Danica Patrick. Isn't that alone sufficient to convince you to choose IRL over F1?

F1 is more technical and they only race on road courses. Indy cars are more basic and they race on ovals. The cars in Champ Car are similar to Indy cars but race on road courses.
It all depends on what you are looking for! F1 is more about the equipment/technology you have and less about racing. Personally, I feel the best racing right now is in stocks or sprints and midgets.

IRL isn't really a good comparison. I would compare it to Champ car because of the Road Courses that Champ Car runs. Also the way a Champ Car is setup makes it more interesting for me...just compare the cars. And Champ Car is also American
