Martial Artists: Do you fight primarily right handed or southpaw? Is this different to how you say, write your name?

Also does anyone have any stories about the strengths and weaknesses of being southpaw. Has anyone ever tried to learn or give up fighting southpaw?

He's already grabbed 20+ rebound six times in his career. He jumps so high (he can kiss the rim) and is so big. Will he be dominating the rebounding scene in the NBA for the next few years? (Maybe until Greg Oden gives him some competition)
