They are like this whichever team you support. I must admit that Chelsea are not my favourite team but just support who you want to and don't worry about what other people think. The more success teams have the more knockers there are against them.

For those of us who actually have supported Chelsea all our lives, since the bad old days, it's being asked to justify it by Johnny-come-latelys and other assorted tossers (usually Gooners or, hilariously Cockney Man U fans). I remember being stuffed 5-1 at the Bridge by Watford in a top flight league game. 4-0 and 5-2 by Wimbledon at home, 6-0 away to QPR, being dumped out of cups by the likes of the mighty Scarborough (now plying their trade in the Conference North). So as a lifelong fan I can see exactly why Chelsea are so hated. We've almost become the 90s Man U or the 80s Liverpool. Except not as good yet. And the saddest thing of all is, I hate what we've become, ie no longer Chelsea Football Club but the Chelsea brand. So for those United and Liverpool fans who keep banging on about history, try to remember that every club has a hardcore support. It's just that many of us have been outpriced and usurped by hangers-on who probably think Save The Bridge alludes to the Transporter Bridge on Teeside.

They presume that you have only started supporting them since they started being the best team. And that you have taken the cowardly or lazy decision of supporting them just so you can celebrate more. While others have helped bring their teams through tough times with their support, some people just choose to support whoever is the most likely to win, irrespective of everything else.
If I were you, I would say to them that you already supported them when Chelsea were in the 2nd Division, and that you also support the idea of making the top ten teams in England have the same exact budget to spend on players every year (so that then we could win on a level playing field / on skill alone).

Have been a Chelsea fan since 1970. I HAVE turned out on a wet Wednesday night in January when we have played Oldham Atheletic or York City when the Blues were in the depths of the old 2nd division.
Don't worry- people are just jealous of our success of the last couple of years. We have not bought the Premiership - no more than Arsenal or that other team from Up North who have recently been the champions (you know the one - where all the seasonticket holders come from anywhere but Manchester!)
The boss says what he feels regardless of the flack he knows he will get from others - I have a lot of admiration for him! And John Terry and Co are so passionate about the game - both in a Chelsea shirt and in an England one!!
Carry on supporting them but do so through thick and thin!
C'MON YOU BLUES!!!

Theyve won the premier league by spending millions !!! Maurinho is a good manager , but wel never know how good without the smiling buffoons millions . I support Liverpool , but have a new found respect for man u , and ferguson for winning what they did without having the riches that chelski have.
Also most chelsea fans have now jumped on the bandwagon since they have become a decent team . Take a look in your trophy room chelsea fans , and then come and see what a proper trophy room looks like at anfield or old trafford.

look, Chelsea is doing very well recently but it doesnt have much history as the other so-called 'PRESTIGIOUS' clubs like Manchester united, Liverpool etc. We have lot of money and really good players and an excellent manager so naturally they're all jealous of us. I have supported Chelsea all my life basically coz i was born and brought up in chelsea. but the thing is a lot of ppl outside and even inside England are attracted by our team and want to support them just coz of that...other club fabs find it annoying. that's all.
BUT KEEP SUPPORTIN CHELSEA SISTER!!!

Supportin chelsea is no worse than any other top european club, they're all over paid primadona tarts. if u want real football pick a team from the lower leagues, they appreciate your support and more importantly, without them many prem clubs would struggle.
The worst supporters for me are liverpool, always going on about thier history, footy is all about the present. everytime i've been to anfield i can only hear the away support.

like others have said before, it all depends how long you have supported them for. I am a man utd fan, have been so since about 1977/1978, so I am definitely NOT a glory hunter. In my personal opinion, a team that "buys" the title, such as Blackburn, and most recently Chelsea, all I can say is "the bubble will burst one day", so enjoy the moment, teams like man utd, Liverpool and Arsenal have enjoyed more success even without the huge transfer pots that the likes of chelsea and blackburn have/had

Nothing, but when people start supporting Chelsea or Manchester United or Barcelona are they really supporting the club or the success? If Chelsea have a bad season - as they will one day - will all their new supporters stick with them or move on to the next successful club? Try supporting Peterborough United or Rochdale - no worries with success there!

It's because Abramovich has taken over Krazee k and has given Jose a blank cheque. I've supported them since i was 6 and back when Vialli and Ranieri were managers everone thought Chelsea- good side need a few better players. Roman takes over wipes out the debts Jose buys in a few players. We win a few cups now everyone hates us! It's simple - pure jealousy and the good times are still gonna roll! Happy Dayz!

Because most Chelski supporters and i use this term loosely have only been supporting them since they got an influx of money.
I never a a Chelski supporter when they were a mid table team.
