This question is a bit of a follow-up to a previous question regarding what I needed to do to convert my bike to 9 speed from 8 speed. One respondant mentioned something that piqued my interest: "The 8 speed chain is stronger, you have less chances of ghost shifting". I wasn't aware of that, and had actually heard that a 9-speed setup shifts smoother. However, shifting aside, my primary motivation for switching over to 9-speed is the greater availability of replacement parts for future repair (it's really hard to find 8 speed shifters or derailleurs these days!). Anyway, I'm wondering what other pros/cons there are out there regarding the switch to 9-speed. Has anyone switched to 9 from 8 and regretted it? Besides greater chain strength (how much greater?), are there other good reasons to stay with an 8-speed? What other advantages are there to an upgrade (term used acknowledging it's possible relativity) to 9-speed? Thanks very much in advance.

Help! My dad just got tickets to the world series tomarrow from a friend, and asked me to go with him! I work 7pm-7am so I'd have to call in to work. I hate calling in sick when I'm not and I'm paranoid I'll get found out! Too late to find someone to cover for me. Someone please tell me something to make me not feel guilty and paranoid!

On a personal note, it would be a very special occasion for me and my dad. He has terminal cancer. We both love baseball, it's always been kind of our special bond. He hasn't been to a world series since '68. (Cardinals vs Detroit!) I really want to go with him.

Im looking for the training area where the Diaz Brothers train for UFC. All I know is that it must be in some Gym in Concord California. I would like to see them train. Does anyone have any information I could use?

Tell me if I am right or give me your own opinion. I think that the Tuna put in romo so the people in dallas would shut up about bledsoe and romo crap. I stupidly was caught having sex with a work associate, by her husband. I'm 5'1 he's 5'9 and very fat. I got a kicking and many would say i deserve it. Now 6 months later the threats and the intimidation from him is still appearing. I am really reluctant to goto the police. I use to go coon hunting w/my boys and love the coon dogs. We also bench them, its a lot of fun. My favorite is the english coon hound. I had a tri and a red tic. My red was from the mississippi swamp rooster line, I also have had redbones. I love to watch the feild trials with the labs. I have had a lot of labs. just wondering. Kids are grown sorta miss it!
