What I got was somebody correcting my spelling. So after a little thought I answered my own question. In the 60's in Detroit Mi you did. have to register after obtaining a green belt. My question was "Was it because of the nunchuks? Well, your mantra was "kill"and that was what you trained to do. Not the American exercise routine. You protected yourself family and friends by being willing to kill if need be otherwise you avoided a fight, because yes you were registered as a weapon. You took this responsibility on yourself as an honorable person. Read one of Libbys novels and you will see at one time you had to kill an oppenent to obtain a red belt. Not be able to break boards for a black belt. This is an art and a life style not a "sport"
