My guess is it's in his homestate and he is friends with the majority owner Robert Johnson. The blazers would've been a better purchase, since it's in Nike's backyard and we all know Nike and Jordan are joined at the hips haha

He's from North Carolina and would love to see his home state have a solid NBA team to go with all of their great college teams, like UNC, Duke, NC State and Wake Forest. It's definitely possibe, just look at the Hornets in the LJ and 'Zo era.

He's also friends with the Bobcats owner already, so that couldn't have hurt. And then there's the fact that MJ has a lot of money.

I think it's great thing for the Bobcats to have Jordan be a part of the organization. Looking forward to seeing how they do with their draft picks.

Thats easy because new team have low shares and its a good investment because in about five to ten years the club could be a threat in the league alot of teams have turned around. So Jordan is trying to help build a team from the ground up. Thats why he got involved with the Washington Wizards.
