I mean no disrespect with this question, I am simply confused by this. I have heard Jesus called our Lord, and I have heard him referred to as the son of the Lord. Which one is it?

Unless we're not all God's children? Who's children are we? Why fight in the name of God? Does a serpent's nature ever stop being a threat? Hey, if Satan can't change his ways, does that make him pure imperfection? Or impure perfection?

I am looking for a good traditional Catholic/Christian CDs. Can you recommend any artist? It can be a choir, individual or a duet. I like music that is not overdone--more like how it sounds in church. Certain songs I'm looking for are:

Precious Lord, Take My Hand
How Great Thou Art
On Eagles Wings
Amazing Grace

Thanks!

I always get annoyed around Christmas time considering I'm Jewish, and all these people are always wishing me a merry christmas.

It's a nice gesture but, after 18 years of this crap it's getting really annoying.

Lately I've been responding with "Happy Hannukah!" I always get a weird look.

Don't people realize that not everyone is the same religion?

Most christians aknowledge that it has nothing to do with an actuall birth date.

Most even seem to understand that December 25th was origially a pagan celebration of the winter solstice and that the Romans ended up hijacking the celebration to help them push christianity onto the masses (ie: take an existing pagan festival and rebadge it as a christiasn festival so you can say "Look at all the people celebrating on our newly created holy day!).

So, with this being the case, why do christians keep talking about the need to return to the true meaning of Christmas?

Wouldn't that mean looking at why people originally held celebrations on Dec 25th? .....which certainly had nothing to do with Jesus.

If they want to put true meaning into celebrating the birth of their saviour, shouldn't they do it on a day that doesn't conflict which much older celebrations and festivities?

Why can't Dec 25th just be seen a time to celebrate goodwill among people of all races and backgrounds?

It seems as soon as Constantine, Clement, and others picked and edited what they wanted and persecuted Gnostics for their own reasons, isn't this sinfull ,man-made Catholicism wrong that also protects pedophiles. This seems like a religion that is the opposite of what Christ taught. I believe when Jesus said Peter was his rock., it all went downhill from there. There needas to be a new rock not built on quicksand

Satan said, "eat and be like God knowing good and evil".

-I can't help but feel betrayed if I were Eve.
She trusted Satan out of curiosity and up-to-date mankind can't tell if God is God or Satan is God, or if God is Satan in the Bible.

Knowing good and evil, bullocks.

-I can't help but feel betrayed by God. She didn't die, Adam didn't die. Were they eternal, but God didn't say, "eat and thou shall not be eternal", did he? Either way, Adam and Eve got to live full lives like us.

-That implies two things. One, they didn't die so God is a liar, or God meant "they'd become mortal". That then implies that our lives on Earth are a punishment for Adam and Eve, "our parents" mistake.

Either way, I can't help but feel Eve murdered us all when she took the first bite. That murderous psychopathic whore.

-It's ok though, a glimpse of Hell is better than bad, it's good if you belong here.

Here's a joke: Eve the "L" is silent.

By the way we're all human, the "M" says so.

I have heard this as a common argument used by Christians when trying to convince atheists and agnostics to become secular.

Do they really believe this? Why?

i talked with someone today. and they said that if i really dont know what to believe and i just dont know... then i will go to Heaven because i havent reached that level of maturity where i know what to believe.
i dont know. i try really hard to believe but i cant force myself to have faith if i dint? i read the Bible, but to me... its like just a book. a big soap opera. i mean to be honest i believe in Jesus. i really do. i dont know if i believe in God though... and everything else in the bible.
i cant force myself to believe in something i dont believe. i really want to, and its frustrating.
for an example...
couldnt the Bib Bang theory have happened? who is to say that a day to God is the same amount of time as a day is to us? i mean... he lives for billions of years.couldnt a day to him bew like a million years? who says that god's time is measured the same as ours is.? so if the Big Bang Theory happened and it mixed in with the theory that God created everything...? why is that so bad?
because obviously he made the stuff explode... in the first place.
i mean i dont believe in Atheism personally... because if we evolved from algae then why arent we all the same? and why would algae still exist?> wouldnt it all be evolved?
someone once told me that logic is against everything dealing with Christianity. how? couldnt logic help explain what God did? why is that so wrong?
and as for the whole faith part, i cant pray to something i think doesnt/or is unsure of... their existence. because in the bible it says that if you dont have faith then nothing will happen. faith is the key to everything... so therefore how can i pray to something if i dont know it exists or not?
and last thing.
i had a pastor one time throw a Bible on the ground and tear it to shreds. he said that in a thousand years everything would be blown up anyway. how does that make since?
i know that mosyt of these questions are impossible to answer... but i dont know what to think.
if that means im going to hell, then i cant help it. i really hope it doesnt come down to that. but how could i make myself believe in something that i dont know about. ? does that mean im a bad person if i dont know?

and below is my bulletin from last night in case any one reading this doestn know where all of this came from.

i love you guys. but i dont know.

LAST BULLETIN:

something that i like to call FAITH.
i dont have it anymore.
why? i have no idea.
i used to read the Bible all of the time and i used to be a true follower of God. Now? i dont know.
that candlelight went out...
im even starting to doubt His existence.
and it scares me... alot. i dont know what im going to do if i dont have God.
but sometimes i feel like He doesnt even hear me when i talk to him.
people tell me to pray about it... and for me. how do you pray without faith??
i live in a non-religious household for the most part. so church is not really an option.
help. please help me.
i really need it.
i want to be close to god again.
i want to be someone who can truly say that I AM A CHRISTIAN... without lying about it.
im so confused.
please please.
help me.

So what if your interpretations are seemingly opposite?
Why be offended and not honoured that many Atheists, and idol worshippers would want to believe in God the Father, whom they interpret to be very loving and compassionate? Are they really hurting you somehow?

do you think of the god you worshiped then as the same one you worship now? i personally don't...the one i was taught about then wasn't anything like my god now...to me the christian god isn't real...but is a twisted version of the pagan god that they added their own rules to...hmm...i've been thinking about this for a while...hope it made sense...
(p.s this is NOT supposed to insult christians...its just how i feel)
blessed be!

the moon god was worshipped from spain to egypt for over 4,500 years.when mohammad invaded mecca it was the moon god, allah, allat, his wife, the sun goddess and their three daughters that was worshipped at the kaaba. god in arabic is not allah. it is his name. mohammad wanted the people to only worship allah and not the other gods and of course pay him for being his prophet. type in, the moon god, on any search engine and read about allah, and allat.
