Satan said, "eat and be like God knowing good and evil".

-I can't help but feel betrayed if I were Eve.
She trusted Satan out of curiosity and up-to-date mankind can't tell if God is God or Satan is God, or if God is Satan in the Bible.

Knowing good and evil, bullocks.

-I can't help but feel betrayed by God. She didn't die, Adam didn't die. Were they eternal, but God didn't say, "eat and thou shall not be eternal", did he? Either way, Adam and Eve got to live full lives like us.

-That implies two things. One, they didn't die so God is a liar, or God meant "they'd become mortal". That then implies that our lives on Earth are a punishment for Adam and Eve, "our parents" mistake.

Either way, I can't help but feel Eve murdered us all when she took the first bite. That murderous psychopathic whore.

-It's ok though, a glimpse of Hell is better than bad, it's good if you belong here.

Here's a joke: Eve the "L" is silent.

By the way we're all human, the "M" says so.

You're falling for it, that story is meant to blame women for all the evil in the world.

We're all responsible, not just women, or just men, or just muslims, christians, etc.

God is no liar. God created Adam and Eve to live forever in the garden, where every need was fulfilled. They were expelled for their disobedience, Eve conceived her children in pain and trevail, Adam was forced to live by the sweat of his brow, for all needs were no longer filled, since they were no longer in the garden, and they did die. They died spiritually, and were in opposition to God the very day that they were disobedient, and they died physically later on.
Only a person that does not believe can feel that we live full lives. There is so much that we miss out on. Only once we are in the kingdom of God, will we realize to the fullest, just how much that is.

Eve fell victim to Satan's invasion. He set her up by causing her to question what she was told. Then he lied to say she would be like God and not die. Satan got her to see the fruit as desirable. The more she thought on it, the greater the desire until she ate. Then got Adam to go along.

They broke the one law they had to show obedience to God as Creator, deserving of worship. The punishment was death.

Not in that literal day. God's plans were not broken by this. He intended humans through Adam's lineage to populate the earth. They had no children as yet. So they were allowed to live outside the Garden until they had enough children to carry on the line. Adam still died at 996 years. Still inside the 1,000 years referred to in 2 Peter 3:8, 9 as one "day" with God. Verse 9 points out that God doesn't desire anyone to be destroyed but attain repentance.

God was not a liar. They died within His day. They also maintained the family line of humans, just as was His purpose. They were perfect and could have lived until now, if they had not broke the law.

We are descendants descending in more ways than one. We get further away from perfection. Our life spans go down as does our immunity from disease and moral decay.

Maintaining the human line also set up for the need of Jesus coming to ransom humankind from Adam's sin with another perfect human life, Jesus' own. Giving humankind the chance for being restored to perfection and completing God's original purpose for the earth and humans.

I like the way that Mean Gene and Toni answered your question. Reread them.

I will add that death is defined not just as your soul separated from our body. But your souls separated from God. And that the only way to get reconciliation is in the the shedding of blood of innocence and pureness. For this is what man kind lost with God before the fall.

Also when man both man and woman were created they were covered with a light from God. It was the same kind of glory that covered Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. In fact he was the only one transfigured because he was sinless and was not born under the cursed sin nature that the other three were born in.

When Adam and Eve sinned the glory of the Lord that shown around their bodies was lost. So they hid themselves before God. That open communication was lost to them. God killed an animal and clothed them with their skins. The death of the animal that day as well as the loss of the glory of the Lord occurred. Man lost his ability to talk to God freely because they sinned and broke God's command.

I hope this helps as well.

God made man and woman mortal (like the animals-explains fossil record of species before man) with the capability to live forever if they eat of the Tree of Life, which is symbolic of obeying God's express commands. Immortality was to be gained. God told them if they eat of the Tree of Knowledge, then they would die. Basically, mankind usurped God's authority in deciding for themselves what was good or bad and right or wrong. Thus, God blocked the entrance to the Garden of Eden (which I believe symbolizes the Earth) and thus, man could no longer have the ability to gain immortality. A gulf was created between God and man and God was looking forward to the day when He would come down to Earth as a New Adam, a New Man (Jesus) to take the punishment for man's sin. He redeemed us. He justified us so that if we believe He did this for us, we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven as was meant to be in the beginning. We all have to die a physical death but can be spared a spiritual death or eternal separation from God. God wanted a creature to commune with. In His image, in His likeness we are created meaning we can create, have authority, think, reason and love. He did all this because He loves us. He suffered for us, for our sins.

In the old testament it was a law to refrain from eating meat, especially pork as it was considered unclean, but the new testament shows that God blesses meat, and tells us it is okay to eat since there were no more need for animal sacrifices since the crucifixion of Jesus. However, I feel God gives us a free will on what kind of food (and i did specifically say food) goes into our bodies. I am personally a vegetarian because it is right for me. People need to do what is best for them and their bodies, and God will honor that decision. This is a christian perspective. This is not based on any other religion.

Everyone born since Adam and Eve has been born with a dead spirit. I'm not sure how, but somehow Adam and Eve sold our birthright (being the Children of God) out from under us by their actions with the serpent.

We humans are not capable of choosing good over evil by our own power, that should be readily apparent by the state of the world.

God - clothed in flesh (Jesus), died in order to purchase us back from death. So, if you would like for your spirit to be re-born then ask one of the Christians around here how to accept Jesus. He will then purchase you back and fill you with His Holy Spirit.

Adam and Eve did die.
Yes she was betrayed by the serpent.
I don't follow your up to date mankind part.
God does not lie nor change.
They did not live lives like ours. That is impossible.
God did not betray any one. They betrayed Him and being the God He is, they were punished for their misdeeds.
