The preacher who threw The Bible on the ground sounds like a wacko. I would not listen to anything he said.
Some of the things you say that you believe in ...I believe as well.
Confusion does not come from God. I believe it comes from Satan. You are not a bad person. You are a good person. I can tell.
All I can tell you is that I will pray that you find an answer.
Why not pray and tell God how you feel? He knows about your doubts anyhow. Let it all out.
Yell at Him if you want.
I send prayers and good thoughts.
Send me a message if you would like.

Easy little one. I'm going to let you in on a little secret that no one really likes to admit. EVERYONE goes through a crisis of faith, when we question God's love or if He's listening or even there at all. Dont panic, He's there where He's always been.
Dont get caught up in the whole evolution/creation argument. You've got a bit of wisdom in your thinking. Why couldn't God have started the whole big-bang thing? Truth is, man doesn't have all the answers yet, despite how loudly they yell about how much they think they know. Remember, at one time people swore the earth was flat and all planets revolved around the earth. We learn more and more every day and ideas and understanding change.
I'm not gonna sit here and copy and paste bible verses to you. Just talk to God, you dont have to get all holy .....just talk to Him and tell Him what's troubling you. Tell Him about your doubts and fears and ask for His help. If you have a sincere heart, He will answer you......so keep your eyes and ears open. Sometimes you will get that feeling inside that answers you, other times you will see something.....and other times.......He will use someone else to answer you....

1. Just study Jesus.
There is enough evidence that points to Jesus as God. If that is the case, then thats your proof for God.
More Than A Carpenter. By Josh McDowellI
I highly suggest that book, really small and easy reading.
This is about evidence that Jesus ressurected.
2. Pray to God about your problems concerning faith, ask him nicely to help you have faith. Pray about your problems so when you get your answer, you will remember that you asked.
3. Community, you need to find authentic believers who really put more than just a limb but their whole body and do seemingly risky things for God. Don't hang out with religious noobs who think they can impress God by religiousity.
I'm thinking the catholics right now.. Try non denominationals.
Even in there , there are idiots too, but just ignore them, seek out the few who are really authentic, you will notice how many miracles happen in their lives.
As for evolution.
There is Abiogenesis, Big Bang, Micro, Macro evolution.
Abiogenesis is not part of evolution.
Chemicals turn into amoeba-- that is Abiogenesis. Thats not evolution, it is a totally different theory.
people are just stupid and mix it up.
http://www.dinosaurs.info the username for that website is creation and password is seminar
that site deals about bible and evolution etc.
but remember, genesis says God commanded the water to bring forth the animals, not the thin air.
as for what really matters. love your neighbor as yourself. thats what matters

Don’t worry , there are lots of us here to help you. Your Faith and religion has obviously left you confused and misinformed about the world around us.
You can live a ( better ) moral life without a God. Life , the universe and Everything can be explained without the need for a God . You are lucky to be living in marvellous times where we do have lots of answers ( not all answers ) to some of lifes big questions.
Y&A is a good place to get a cross section of opinions , but you might want to get up to speed a little and watch a few documentaries and increase your knowledge base first. Or try YouTube , Here are a few videos to get you started :

I have to admit that I didn't read this whole thing because its long, and, more importantly, I see the problem in the first line.
You are fearful. You think you MUST believe in god or else you fear the consequences. IF that is the only motivator, then sister, this religion thing aint for you.
What kind of a belief system are you trying to convince yourself to buy into? This system says believe in this or that or else you don't make it to heaven. Baloney!
The bible is a collection of ancient stories that men sat down and wrote. Basing your life on the stories of goat herders from thousands of years ago is nuts.
Think, explore, read about religion and meditate on your own innate being. Come to your own conclusions.
Don't believe in anything out of fear. It's wrong.

It is good that you have doubts. It shows you are not completely brain washed. Discuss your religious doubts with EDUCATED priests and your scientific doubts with scientists or read books.
Both Science and religion search for the truth. But science is based on reason and proof, irrespective of who said it, while religion is based on authority and accepting what is written in old books without proof and on fear and reward. Science honors those who over turn old theories and offer better ones. Religion persecutes and punishes, often by death, those who try to introduce changes.
In barely 150 years, the scientific method has given us all the progress we see around us. In the last 10,000 years religion has given us magic, sacrifices of animals and humans to gods, hatred, wars and voodoo mambo jumbo. But many people have a psychological need for the certainties and comfort of religion and will never change.

1st- calm down and take a deep breaTh and relax, get your bible and turn to Matthew's 6th chapter. that will inform you how to pray to god (Jesus)
2ND- The bible also lets you know that a day to the lord is 1000 yrs and a 1000yrs as 1 day.
3rd- You must have faith and works, faith without works is dead. you must show the lord that you believe by keeping his laws and commandments.
The bible isn't hard, and its not like a regular book either, the bible is man life source to eternal salvation. Plain & Simple, Keep reading your bible and have a little patience and the lord will do something in your life to increase your faith.

You are at an age of confusion.
Your mind is telling you that all of this religion stuff is weird and doesn't make sense.
Great.
Now accept these facts.
Religion is invented by mankind.
All gods are imaginary. Religion is a scam, a huge confidence trick played upon ancient mankind and for which there is no need at all in today's world.
Once you accept the above, ALL of your questions turn to dust, having no importance whatsoever.
The real world, as opposed to the fantasy world, is NOT as comforting. There is NO afterlife to look forward to. Grown-ups accept that and live THIS life to full advantage and we atheists do not worry our heads about anything connected with gods and devils and so on.
I recommend that you think hard about what is real and what is imagined.
Do not automatically accept what religious people will tell you. Learn about the sciences and all will fall into place.
Note that there are many doubts that Jesus actually existed but was a modified form of much earlier stories from much earlier religions. Nothing is at it seems when viewed through the eyes of one who WANTS the lovely stories about heaven to be true - and it ain't true!
For an eye-opener, rent the video/DVD of 'The Life Of Brian'. That will explain a lot even though it may appear to be a simple comedy movie.

Please do not give up. Keep searching and pray for guidance, and understanding. Let God know your sincere confusion and that you want to truly want to believe again. Maybe dwelling on the situation is clouding your ability to see things clearly. There is a poem I think it is called "footprint" if you don't know it, maybe finding it and reading it will lighten things up for you a little. It really is a beautiful poem. You sound like a good, sincere, kind hearted person. Believe in yourself and that you will find your way.

I can tell from your post above, that you have many strange ideas. To correctly answer your question, I can only recommend that you continue to ask questions and research from many different sources, the correct answers to your questions. I encourage you to think critically about these answers, and the motivation of those that provide them.
I encourage you to learn, and observe the world around you and to test the answers against that.
