I was wondering why Humans have a belief in god, there is no evidence for the existence of god, all there are, are holy books obviously written by man and full of inconsistencies, so why do humans beleive so consistently throughout the world in a god?

Why can't some christians just let the atheist alone? The muslims, jews, pagens, etc. Don't you somewhere in the recesses of you mind hear a voice saying that perhaps somebody else can be right too? I mean we're all human and therefore all of us make mistakes. Do you believe maybe more people would believe if we stopped trying to force feed them our beliefs and actually try to co-exist peacefully?

What is a huge regret that you have that you simply can't do anything about fixing? (A mistake you made in the past)

I'll go first. I used to work at a psychic hot line reading tarot cards. One night this 76 year old man called in. He had just lost one of his legs due to diabetes. He had no living family left, no friends, no support system to speak of. He was scared and very lonely. He was eating cat food cause it was cheaper than regular food and his landlord had put an eviction notice on his door. He wanted to know his future.

Like the dutiful employee I was, I keep this man on the phone with me for 59 minutes, the maximum allowable call for a 900 number according to federal regulations. We charged $4.95 a minute for that phone call.
When I hung up the phone, I put my face in my hands and cried. My boss gave me a raise because my call average went up so high. I quit that job a couple of weeks later because the guilt got to me.

It says in the Bible that Jesus was his only begotten son.
Also Jesus never says he IS God, he always refers to him as his father. So why do some of us insist that he was God? Is there a particualr reason or passage, or is this what you were taught? If you do why do you stand by it when Jesus says in the Bible himself that he is NOT God, but his son? Does it make you feel more comfortable with the idea of his sacrifice? Really, I just don't get it, which is fairly obvious.
I'm just curious as to the reason for this, that's all.

An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235 percent, while Christianity had increased only by a mere 47 percent. May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam?

or is the hate just for God-believers...or is it the idea of God that you hate? i just wanna try and understand your viewpoint. As a believer i would appreciate if you could do this without making derogatory comments about God. If He doesnt exist for you then you wont need to use Him to back your view up. But your welcome to say what ya like about me or us believers

thanking you

Moses condemns his own people upon finding them worshiping a 'golden calf' (a symbol of the previous age of Taurus and of the worship of the bull deity)

Age of Pisces : Jesus Christ

I for one always wish people a Merry Christmas. They can wish me back whatever they want as well. I don't get real offended by people wishing me well in their beliefs. Your thoughts?

Christ described the finger-pointing,sin-seeing,
sign-seeking religious fundamentalists as "hypocrites & vipers"--so--unsurprisingly it was fundamentalists who engineered his death.
