An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235 percent, while Christianity had increased only by a mere 47 percent. May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam?

Firstly, birthrate. Muslims tend to have more children than Christians. And the religion allows more than one wife at the same time.
Secondly, most Muslim countries prohibit Christians from spreading the christian message. And conversion from Islam is often punishable by death.
Thirdly, most Christians (unfortunately) separate their religious life from their everyday activities. This is seen as hypocrisy. So conversion to Christianity is difficult.
Lastly, with the freedom in most countries where Christianity is practised widely, atheism and evolutionism are working with religious fervor to undermine Christianity.
One last thought: Your statistics are over 20 years old. What are the latest figures? To be fair to you, I really don't think it will be much different. If any difference, it might even show a decrease in the 47% for Christianity's growth.

In Islam there is no Jesus. Without Jesus there is no way to be able to approach God in prayer and be heard. So therefore all Muslims are wasting their time. To me Muslims are like lost children who have been taught wrong and now cannot change because what a child is taught, a child does not forget.
So your question is easily answered: More people go to Islam than to true Christianity because more people love the devil than God. Also just look what Islam teaches: All men will get 7 virgins from God?????? You see how sick this is? God has nothing to do with sex!!! God is love!!

The Quran states many things and most of them are ridiculous and hateful. Hatred and intollerance are islams main theme. Anyone converting to this' fascist ideology is lacking in critical thought process. That is why more than 5 billion people who are not Muslims.

If you think for just one second, these are clearly not convert numbers - they are population growth figures. It is not possible for all religions to gain numbers!!!
Islam is prevalent in countries with failed economies, poor education and uncontrolled birth rates. Half of all muslim countries are in the bottom of the development league. They are also countries that tend to be theocratic. Many still count the death penalty for apostasy on their statue books. Hence numbers for followers of Islam are grossly and offensively distorted.

I am a Malaysian n almost 70 percent of the citizens here r Islamic. They say that I u become n Islamic person u will take one step closer to heaven....But the truth is if u r in any religion there is a God n He will always lead his people to heaven.
