Did He change His mind in Phillipians 2:9 says, "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." WAIT, WAIT. My bible says there is only ONE Lord in Ephesians 4:5 says, "ONE Lord, one faith, ONE baptism; ONE God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you."

Let me elaborate, do you believe that such ideas that Mary Magdalin and Jesus had a child, that the holy grail is that child? Many churches are against this idea, but I wonder, is it really that they are against it because it couldnt be true or is it because they would hate for the world to believe that Jesus was a man, a holy man, but a man none the less. If you believe that the church is hiding this for a reason, tell us why. By us, I mean all of the readers of this question. Thank you for your participation.

It doesn't matter which denomination of Mormonism you come from in the case of Warren Jeffs. Whether FLDS or LDS all Mormons are mourning his trial, as it brings a negative light on anything or person associated with prior or latter day Mormonism.

The current state of the FLDS church is the mirror image of the very origin of the LDS church. These very issues appeared not long ago when the US government told the Latter Day Saints that they could no-longer live bigamous lives and that they could no-longer preach the rape of young women.

So then as outsiders are we politically correct in judging the fundamental core of the Mormon faith and my friends how do you think the Mormons feel about a Mormon prophet such as Warren Jeffs being on trial?

what does it mean to get baptized

This video has spoken many things to many of us. Some of us will interepret it in different ways. Please share how this video speaks to you after viewing it.
For me I truly appreciate how the Lord prays for us when we drift off. In the book of Hosea there is an intersting verse
Hosea 11:4
" I drew them with cords of a man. With bands of love; And I was to them like those Who lift off the yolk on their jaws; And I gently caused them to eat"

In the end we saw the Lord drawing the believer with cords of a man.. with bands of love... We saw Him interceding for her.. taking on all the enemies...Defeating all with His might..He caused her to eat of Him as the Living bread.
I also loved in the beginning of this video the way man is made in God's image to be filled with God. This is our purpose today. TO be filled with God to match and live Him out:)
Share with me. how this video ministers to YOu

Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

is it God or evolution?

2007-09-22 06:43:37 · 5 answers · asked by raul 1

From what I see, they seem to know that evolutionist think that 1) evolution takes billions of years to work, 2) we came from apelike creatures, and 3) it does not need to involve a god designing anything. Also heard lots of lies, saying that evolutionists think that everything just happened by accident (look up natural selection). And if you watched the debate, Kirk Cameron even thought that there being nothing and then there was an explosion and then there was everything (whoever said "at first there was nothing"? most of us go by the fact that matter is neither created nor destroyed) had something to do with evolution. jeez.
so, let me ask you this: can you define what mutation and natural selection (or survival of the fittest) is and tell me how this applies to evolution? and WHY it would take billions and billions of years?
if you can't answer that, then you know nothing about evolution. this is why it is a theory, because theories tell us HOW something happened.

In an answer to another question I was told that the reason for the apparent contradiction between the two ages quoted below was that "In 2 Kings 8:26, it shows Ahaziah's true age. In 2 Chronicles 22:2, it is saying that is how long Ahaziah was a son of the house of Omri, through his mother."

How do I establish whether or not that is the case?

“Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.” 2 Chronicles 22:2

“Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.” 2 Kings 8:26

So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the droves before me and that of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir. - Genesis 33:14

Most men go through a "warrior stage" of life. In this stage of manhood, the man is known by what he does, what he accomplishes, and he is totally defined by his performance. It can be a tumultuous time for the man and those close to him. It is often signified by broken relationships because the goal is often more important than the way the goal is accomplished. When I meet with a man, I can easily determine what stage of life he is in by hearing him talk.

I used to be Christian and I was programmed to feel guilty every time a thought that could even remotely be considered "sinful" crossed my mind or if I performed any action that might be considered "sinful". Now that I have gotten out of religion, the remnants of that mindset still remain. I'll explain what I mean.
Now when I do something that would considered "sinful" or if I see someone else doing something "sinful", it's like I recognize it, but I don't feel the same way I would have when I was a Christian. It's like an automatic thinking process, it comes up involuntarily. It's as if I scan every thought that goes through my mind and everything I encounter in terms of it's "sinfulness". I sometimes feel the need to point out sinfulness jokingly or sometimes even resentfully when other Christians are around to annoy them. I don't feel unnecessary guilt for these things.
I've been clean from Christianity for five years and I thought these symptoms would have cleared up by now.

im a Roman Catholic but im seriously doubting my faith.

Omni-present (everywhere)

So you have millions of prayers a second being offered to her.
Asking Mary to be there at the hour of their death, asking her to guide them, help them, teach them, secure for them eternal redemption and imploring her to come dwell in their hearts as though she were able to fulfill all these requests

We Roman Catholics may deny that Mary is a god, but by asking all these things of her, she would have to be God to do them wouldnt she?
Why have we given Mary the attributes that belong to God alone?

I have practiced Catholicism for 20 years and I can, from experience, tell you that we pray to her, through her, and by her.

This is one of many things I am now doubting about my church teachings.
