This is true if a person was born of the flesh then they would need the umbilical cord to as a form of sustaining life from the mother, and Adem and Eve were both made of God:
Adem was made from the earth, and Eve was made from Adem's rib. Their life was a breath of air from God Himself that gave them both life. So there is no need for a belly button! Unless of course they wanted a belly button ring to wear? but that was needless back then, they used small stones or gold nuggets for decorations in their belly buttons back then.

You know I did wonder that same thing once. No I don't think they did, the Bible doesn't say if they did or not, but I don't think they could have. When we get to Heaven if Adam and Eve are there, (which there is no proof in the Bible that either of them ever repented), I am going to ask them. That would look funny with no belly button!

First, there is another person that never appears in the Bible--Adam's first wife Lilith, she did not submit but ran away from him. Second, if women came from man, why do men have nipples whose only purpose is to feed offspring? The story of Genesis is a fable that is not technically correct to begin with.

*drink*

This is essentially meanless, for either atheist or believer, as until we have a mummy or two with no belly buttons it is speculation (about an unproven, most likely mythological event).

Why do you want to know if they had belly buttons? It's not important.

Anthony's answer was very wise. Mesoeasy sounded like a goof.

right. The belly button is just a scar formed from the umbilical cord falling off or whatever...

Sounds like an intelligent supposition to me. So I will concur with you.

Yes they had belly buttons, or else eve wasn't going to be able to feed her unborn, neither give them air etc.
