There is the conscious energy and the unconscious energy. They are also called Purusha and Prakriti meaning soul and matter.
Aatma - the soul is a point of conscious energy that has it's own individuality and personality. Energy is infinite - it has no begining and no end. This means the soul always exists. It further means a soul can never merge into anything or any other soul because then the soul's individuality and personality would dissapear. If a soul were to lose it's individuality then that means the end of that soul. But soul has no end and no begining.
There are 2 types of souls: God is one type and all the rest of the souls is the other type. There is a lot of difference between the 2 types but here i will only point out the fact that God never changes His qualityes (gunas) whereas all the rest of the souls become degraded from elevated and elevated from degraded continuously. Therefore the only constant thing about all the rest of the souls is continous CHANGE of gunas (transformation) .....:). They become degraded under the influence of matter and elevated under the influence of God......
OK.

You are right .Religious diehards should understnd it , if the world shoud be peaceful. They still think that god is a fool incapable of knowing what he has created .They are keeping religions subordinated to thier own folly.
jeevatma is he air in the lungs of our body.paramatma is the air outside in the atmosphere from whichb we a little for life and this is jeevatma that we draw from the paramatma .We are always connected ot the paramatma and once our connection tothe paramatma is severed we die .Th eparamatma is the ams for he muslim , the chritian , the Hindu or an animal or plant ,bird or any insect .God is the soul of all animate and inanimae being also .Our atmas ar ainerconnected through the parmatma .We draw our jeevatma from the same parmatma , the same atmosphere .There is no Hindu air ,the Muslim air ,or the christian air .The atmospher is common and one . i donot hav eto take you to my atmosphere or force you to breath only the air I exhale or you have no business to force me to inhale what yu have exhaled .hope it is understood well.

Is Atma as soul eternal infinite divine Atman , the internal expression of Brahman within us and the center of the immortal self or Anatman, the aggregate of constantly transitional combinations that we label as "self"?
I am a Christian and I believe that the soul (non corporeal will, intellect and human center) or alma, anima, psuche is immortal and created and distinct from the Eternal Infinite Ultimate or God but created to be united but not absorbed by God Who is infinitely and eternally personal as well as beyond personal.
I do not believe that the soul reincarnates but will be forever individual yet heor she is created to be in communion with all beings that are united to God.
The soul makes the choise in this mortal life if he or she will live with God forever or not by good or evil choises and decisions. I believe that the soul will be united forever with aits resurrected body on the Last Day Resurrection of the Body since one cannot be fully human without being a body as well as soul and /or spirit
