1- everything is a sin

2- christian religion is a bit illogical and asks its followers things they cannot do since they are imperfect (if god is so wise he should know people are imperfect and not demand things they cannot do due to their imperfection)

3- christians need an excuse to behave and do what everybody else does. (I do this even though is a sin since i am imperfect but anyway everyboy else is imperfect and do this so it doesnt really matter)

over other angels? Does God have other angel sons? So human can be an angel? Are there other human angels there?

Why on John 1:1 it does not say that the word was an angel?

If the New World Translation was produced because it supported the JWs' beliefs through inaccurate renderings, why did not you change a god from God to an angel?? Or is archangel Michael also a god? I do not get this, please help me out.

Every other translation, Catholic and Protestant - not to mention the Greek original - has this verse " and the Word was God."

...people, especially women, to your church? Thus saving that many more souls?

Many of you have said that your God is not male or female, and that the pronoun "He" is just a default pronoun, and that you could refer to your deity as "It." Have you ever done so? Why not if not? If you have, what was the reaction among your friends?

If you realized that to do so would bring many more followers to your parishes, would you take a proactive stance on the issue and start suggesting that EVERYONE do so?

Check out what someone answered to my question about the impact of religion on government:

"Oh, by the way, separation of church and state, if you were to bother to even read the constitution in the first place, was to keep government from interfering with religion, giving people the freedom to worship how they want. It wasn't designed to keep religion out of government, but rather to keep government out of religion."

Your thoughts?

Well of course we all know the answer to that..right? NO...we don't. The new "darling" of THE VIEW does not know..yes...that is right Sherri Shepherd evidently does not know this.

SSOOO how was that she got her job...sure wasn't for the brains.

This morning as I flipped through the channels I caught the tail end of a debate going on about evolution/religion, and when she was asked about the Earth being flat or round she said she did not know. At first I thought it a joke!! But no, she went on to admit that, if asked by her son, she would have to take him to the library and they find out. She went on to hedge about the sun warming the Earth, but not vocally.

I mean come on!!! That has nothing to do with religion/evolution(which was what the debate was about)....it is fact! We have pictures of this..Do we of God?

So what is your thought....Is the world still round or is it square???

Or do you respond like the quote in this parody:
“Finding little physical evidence to substantiate the theory only means there must still be a great deal of supportive evidence out there to be found,” said an unnamed editor of the journal Nature, which plans to publish a paper on the African skulls this week. “The more we realize how little we know, the more certain we are that we’re right. As I once read in a scholarly paper somewhere, ‘faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen’.”

The mercy killing done in good faith should not be considered homicide. i.e. Dr. Kevorkian.

HOW CAN YOU BE THE DEFENSE OF THIS, HOW CAN YOU SHOW EVIDENCE THAT YOU THINK THIS IS CONSIDERED HOMICIDE?

Matt. 12:31, 32, RS: “Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man[JESUS] will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”

John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

Obviously I know the former is Jewish, the latter Muslim - but do they signify that the animal has been killed in the same way? Or do they involve different practises?

Many thanks for any answers.

Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Also, that some will experience outer darkness?
And sometimes these are people we love, but who just were self righteous, critical of God & people obedient to Gods call. Or calling the Holy Spirit evil.

I believe these are two different locations. But both are separate from God so a type of hell.

Just wondering what everyday folk thought of pagan/neopaganism? And really, don't come here telling me that all pagans are going to hell or are Devil worshippers, cause really, you're just putting your foot in your mouth.
I want real, educated answers....if you can actually handle that, that is.

...and yes, before anyone asks, I am in fact Neopagan. Again...I'm not going to Hell, because I don't believe in it.

A Child's perspective of Heaven

"Look, Mom, the moon's still up!" my young son exclaimed while looking out the window one morning. "Why is it so high?" he inquired.

"God put it up there for many reasons," I said, rattling off a few.

Still trying to figure it out, he looked up at me and asked, "Did God put it that high so little kids can't touch it?"

have the benefit of surprise and would shoot the owner if he reached for a gun. None of the answers that I got on the internet gave me reason to think otherwise.
However, I was talking to a friend today, and he suggested there is a battle going on between rich and poor in the United States. He says that when a poor criminal enters the house of a richer person, the criminal is usually on drugs and is going to shoot the house owner even the house owner does not own a gun.
Now that makes more sense than any replies that I received on the internet. If you are going to be shot anyway, you might as well have a gun and maybe you will be lucky enough to get the drop on the intruder sometimes
I am disappointed that I didn't get a single sensible answer on Yahoo answers, and had to turn to someone else.
But I still need further convincing. Is this the way it is?Are most intruding criminals apt to be poor people hopped up on drugs
and determined to shoot you even if you do not have a gun?
