Also, that some will experience outer darkness?
And sometimes these are people we love, but who just were self righteous, critical of God & people obedient to Gods call. Or calling the Holy Spirit evil.
I believe these are two different locations. But both are separate from God so a type of hell.

animefan, Hell fire is in the bible. Jesus said it plenty of times. Hell & fire together. Look up 'fire' in a Strongs Exhaustive.

Also, the dead know nothing. That would be our dead physical body. Our soul goes somewhere other than in our grave with our rotting body. Some go to hell fire now. When they die. The lake of fire is different. That is the last death. Nobody is in the lake of fire yet.

Not sure what is going to happen when my ribs feel the last beat of the heart. Will there be a sleep until the Day of Judgement, will we be immediately aware.
I'm not meaning to spark any great theological debate by my statement.
There's bound to be some parts of death and judgement that we just won't know until we are actually experiencing this.
what I do know, is there will be a divide....those who accepted the gift of salvation, and those who rejected it. There is no middle ground.
Now, whether disbelievers experience hell as soon as they pass on, or if it doesn't happen until Judgement Day is irrelevant. Absolutely trivial and meaningless. We're talking about eternity, and any delay at all will be but a flash when compared to eternity. And even if there was a delay, the outcome would still be the same.
As for those who judge God for this, then so be it. What they don't realize is they may as well be condemning the pilot of the airplane for not letting them on the plane, even after they rejected the ticket the pilot was offering.
Talk about twisted rational - blaming God for their own decisions.

I didn't know that. My belief is that Jesus holds the keys to hell and nobody goes there yet. They go to Hades to wait the judgment and then Jesus comes again.

Are you referring to the story of the rich man that begged Lazarus for a drop of water? He was clearly in torment, but I don't recall any specific mention of fire, so maybe the fire punishment is reserved for the Final Judgement? But then in the old testament there's a verse that says "the dead know nothing", so I donno...

I am highly suspicious of anything that says you can't criticize someone or something. That means don't think, just agree. All alarm bells go off at once.

Did you know that your beliefs are hateful, intolerant, and vindicative in nature? And that a God who has such qualities as well cannot be perfect in the eyes of most human beings with an actual conscience? Oh well, bye, I'll be in hell...

according to your bible and some of your fellow believers, souls are in store until the judgment day...so i think no one went today to hell.
