over other angels? Does God have other angel sons? So human can be an angel? Are there other human angels there?

Why on John 1:1 it does not say that the word was an angel?

If the New World Translation was produced because it supported the JWs' beliefs through inaccurate renderings, why did not you change a god from God to an angel?? Or is archangel Michael also a god? I do not get this, please help me out.

Every other translation, Catholic and Protestant - not to mention the Greek original - has this verse " and the Word was God."

Every time JWs are asked a question about salvation, they never seem to answer it! This is very telling! Because Jn 1:1 was included in the Q, and the JW idea that Jesus is a created angel, they have jumped on to that and IGNORED the vital Q about Jesus' qualifications to be Savior! They are so missing the point!

The Bible says, 'Jehovah is my light and my salvation... Do not forsake me and do not leave me O my God of salvation' '...indeed he alone is my rock and my salvation... Upon God alone is my salvation and my glory' (Psalm 27:1 & 9; 62:1-7). Then in Acts 4:12 we read, 'Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven [the name of Jesus] that has been given among men by which we must get saved.'

It's clear that the salvation of Jehovah in the OT is exactly the same salvation as that of Jesus in the NT. There are not two Gods, both of whom save - there is one God who alone saves, because Jesus is God. We cannot save ourselves, not even a perfect man can save us, or an angel. Only God could pay the price that he demands for sin. And he did exactly that. No wonder we can only fall on our knees at the foot of the cross and weep. Why cannot the JWs dwell on the one who died for their sins? Put him in his right place and everything else falls into its place! Deny Christ his deity, and there can be no understanding of what that transaction on the cross was all about.

Firstly let me correct you.
The New World Translation was NOT produced because it supported the beliefs of the Witnesses. It was produced because there was a need for an modern, accurate rendering of the Greek and Hebrew Scriptures. One that put back the most important name of all - that of Almighty God himself,Jehovah.
What qualifies Jesus to be the Savior of mankind is that he was not only a perfect creation of Jehovah's but that he was chosen by Jehovah God to be mankinds savior. As Creator,Jehovah has the right to do what he choses.
John 1:1 does not say that the 'Word' was an angel because that is not what the Greek Scriptures say.
The Emphatic Diaglott by Benjamin Wilson says:"and a god was the Word";The Bible - An American Translation by J.M.P. Smith and E.J. Goodspeed says:"and the Word was divine".
There are many others but space and time doesnt permit me to list them. These translations use such words as "a god","divine", or "godlike" because the Greek word, theos' is a singular predicate noun occurring before the verb and is not preceded by the definite article. This is an anarthrous theos'. The God with whom the Word, or Logos, was originally is designated here by the Greek expression theos' preceded by the definite article ho.This is an articular theos'.
Careful translators recognize that the articular construction of the noun points to an identity, a personality, whereas a singular anarthrous predicate noun preceding the verb points to a quality about someone.
Therefore John's statement that the Word or Logos was "a god" or "divine" or "godlike" does not mean that he was the God with whom he was.It merely expresses a certain quality about the Word,or Logos, but it does not identify him as one and the same as God himself.
Consider what John further writes in Chapter 1,verse18:" No man has seen [Almighty] God at any time."However, humans have seen Jesus, the Son, for John says:"The Word[Jesus] was made flesh, and dwelt among us,and we beheld his glory"(John1:14 KJ)How then, could the Son be part of Almighty God?John also states that the Word was "with God".But how can an individual be with someone and at the same time be that person? Moreover,as recroded at John 17:3,Jesus makes a clear distinction between himself and his heavenly Father. He calls his Father "the only true God".And toward the end of his Gospel,John sums up matters by saying:"These have been written down that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God."(John20:31).
This additional information provided in the Gospel of ohn shows how John 1:1 should be understood.Jesus, the Word, is "a god" in the sense that he has a high position but is not the same as Almighty God.
Jesus Christ was and is not only an angel but the Archangel Michael.Let me reason on that for you...
The Bible states that "Michael and his angels battled with the dragon.....and its angels(Rev.12:7).Thus,Michael is the Leader of an army of faithful angels.Revelation also describes Jesus as the Leader of an army of faithful angels.(Rev.19:14-16).And the apostle Paul specifically mentions "the Lord Jesus" and "his powerful angels."(2 Thess.1:7;Matt.16:27; 24:31; 1Peter3:22).
So the Bible speaks of both Michael and "his angels" and Jesus and "his angels". (Matt.13;41).Since God's Word nowhere indicates that there are two armies of faithful angels in heaven - one headed by Michael and one headed by Jesus - it is logical to conclude that Michael is none other than Jesus Christ in his heavenly role.
Moreover,Jesus is linked with the office of archangel.Regarding the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thess..4:16 states:"The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel's voice."

Does God have other angel sons?

According to the book of Job all the angels are his sons. Jesus is the foremost prince of many princes, and his father is king.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

So human can be an angel?

Angel means "divine messenger". Gal 4:13,14 "Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, [even] as Christ Jesus."

John 1:1 was "in the begaining..." just as Gen 1:1 was.
The Earth was only created "in the begaining..." the surface still had no life on it.

Since Angels are messengers...who was God going to send a message to since the earth was not finish created yet?

Angel is simply a job title, it is something that one does. Arch angel means one that is in charge of the angels which would be Jesus role.

1Th 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel"

Heb 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
4 ¶ So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"?
6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God’s angels worship him."
7 In speaking of the angels he says, "He makes his angels winds, his servants flames of fire."
8 But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.

Father is a God, the one to worship.(John 1:1) Word was with God.

Son is a God. (John1:1) Word was God

Holy Ghost is a God.

Psalms 82:6 ...ye are gods...

If you saw any one of them, you would see the form(image) of a man. If you saw an angel you would see a man.
Is Michael a God. Probably by now.

I believe the original text read:"and god was the word", meaning he was a "god" or mighty one.
