I asked this question before but I dont think anyone understood my question.Being a teenage virgin and deciding to stay a virgin until marriage is it ok to have a boyfriend who is a believer and who is more seasoned in the word than me or should I just wait and not get into any relationships.

What is the reasoning or basis to the idea that it is okay for christians to use violence to bring someone to Jesus? You can say that it isn't done but it is. I was a victim of it years ago and it still goes on. Please help me understand the people who did this to me and what they connected to in your religion that would make them think that this is a good thing to do.

Whats the deal with christianity. I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with it and hell bent on proving that their beliefs are 100% real. Who cares? They can believe whatever they want im not going to try to change that but why can't they just accept that not everyone is christian and they quite possibly could be wrong about everything?

I'm getting nasty e-mail messages from a Fundamentalist Christian who thinks that preaching love is the wrong way to go on this forum. That the disciples don't preach this and that love is not from the Bible.

I don't have problems with scriptures being posted, but I do when they lack compassion.

Any suggestions on how to deal with these people?

I want to glorify God in my answers, but not in a way that hurts others.

If God is a good god, why did he create satan who is thought to be Bad?, It makes no sense. What connection does Satan, the prince of darkness, have with the italian sun god, Lucifer, italians still worship him, but not as Satan, I keep reading so many books, that Lucifer is not satan at all, just a misunderstanding.

Would God do something that foolish? Create someone so bad.

I am raised in a christian family, but i don't believe in God anymore. I tried talking to God, but it's much like talking to myself. Nothing changes, i've tried everything. If God comes right now, would i go to hell- eventhough i tired to go to heaven, but nothing worked? Plus, how come people believe that there is live after death, is there any proof? What if it's just us that WANT to think heaven is real just to give ourselves hope after death, but when you die, it's over?

Since these things cannot be tested (otherwise it would be question begging and circular reasoning), does it require faith to believe they represent reality?

"Logic" is often given as a reason for one to be atheist.

Logic investigates and classifies the structure of statements and arguments.

How does this branch of philosophy support atheism?

It seems that the only way I can be happy is by lying. I remember I got grounded for admitting I said "f***" on the internet. Now, pretty much everywhere religion is tearing me apart. I know what I believe but everything with my parents and my friends is just not working. And also if I plan to talk to my parents about this stuff, it's gonna become a big mess and my dad has been feeling horrible lately. ...help?

I have a friend who lives near a mosque. She says that every year during Ramadan - the people going to the mosque - park wherever they want - block driveways - etc. She has said that Muslims have a superior attitude. And now she is now starting to refer to Muslims as "those people" - etc. What can I say to her? I hate to hear her talk this way - and yet I understand her frustration. Please give me the words/explanation - so I can turn her attitude around.

Thanks!

As a Christian, I sincerely believe that if people with homosexual inclinations ACT on them, they put themselves in jeopardy of the Fire. But I know some will. So, regarding life here on Earth:

Do you think the "Gays" who stay mostly "in the closet" and don't broadcast their sexual preferences are happier here on Earth?

Ten points to the first person to say "yes" and have the facts to back it up--without quoting the Bible itself or using anything that references it. I'm talking objective, historical evidence of total infallibility and proof that everything in it is 100% accurate and literal. Undeniable proof that not a word could be wrong.

Good luck. =)

How many different versions of the bible is there, anyways???

How can something be "holy", if it's not be proven, with evidence?

"Common sense" is often given as a reason one rejects the concept of deities.

"Common sense" is either something agreed upon by the general population or it is knowledge that you have which you consider simply obvious.

Atheism is not generally agreed upon. But if it is the second definition it is circular to cite this as a reason. "I believe X because I believe X."

Thoughts?

In your opinion, do we hold the original version of The New Testament, with the Gospel of John, Matthew, Luc, and Mark, or is it possible that it was modified by the Church? and if yes, for what reason? Power?

What about the Gospels found in Nag Hammadi-Egypt? Were they really hidden because the Church forbid them?

Is this different from when one calls upon gods? Is it strictly (or more so) nature based and less reliant on divine whim?

Love others as you would be loved.

Give others the freedom to be who they are, and to become whom they would be, just as you would have them give that freedom to you.

Everything else is politics and legalism.
