I'm getting nasty e-mail messages from a Fundamentalist Christian who thinks that preaching love is the wrong way to go on this forum. That the disciples don't preach this and that love is not from the Bible.

I don't have problems with scriptures being posted, but I do when they lack compassion.

Any suggestions on how to deal with these people?

I want to glorify God in my answers, but not in a way that hurts others.

Hi Fruitful Searcher! I agree that the message of Christ Love need to be shared on this site. We can win more people by sharing Christ redemptive message that a condemnatory message. They will know that we are Christians by our Love. Love breaks down more barriers than anything else. Love looks beyond the faults of others and see their need. God is love. Therefore we need to express God's Love to the world. Follow your heart and allow God's love to flow through you.

I agree with Rachel on this. It is a shame that believers can not simply unite as one. I too have been sent messages from other Christians complaining about my "Christian" ways. If I feel I can respond in kindness then I do. . . .if I see that it is going to lead to nothing but me beating my head against a wall I stop the messages.

You know the way you want to spread the word and they can say whatever they want.....block them so they can't keep sending messages.....as long as someone is preaching the word of God and has Love in their heart and they just want to spread the word of God that all that matters

Sometimes they're going to be hard headed and nasty whatever you say. It's really sad, the meanest emails I get are not from atheists or members of other religions, but my fellow Christians. All you can do in certain cases is ignore.

There are false prophets among us...and it sounds to me like you might be dealing with some of them!! Just ignore....that is the best way...also keep them in your prayers, since that is all you can do as a true christian.

Maybe this will help you. If we first help others see their need for a Savior, because they have broken God's moral law, then we can tell them of God's awesome love to forgive us our sin and give us eternal life through Christ Jesus our LORD.
Many people hear of God's love and then make a public profession of faith and then you never see them in church again. But if you were to go and talk to them and ask what happened they would tell you that "They don't need a God who would let such and such happen to them." This is because they have never truly repented of their sin and put their trust in our LORD and Savior. They just kept on with their life thinking everything was fine, when it wasn't.
Do you remember the parable of the seed that was sown on rocky ground, and amongst the thorns and thistles, and the seed that was sown on fertile ground? If we preach nothing but the love of God it is like throwing our seed on rocky ground where it has no root. We first must break up the ground by showing the lost that they have sinned against God through lust, murder, theft, using the law and the commandments of God that they may understand their great need of a Savior. Then and only then will they truly know the love of our heavenly Father and the price that Christ paid on that cross for their salvation.
What did the apostle Paul say in Romans 7:7-12
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, THOU SHALT NOT COVET.
bUT SIN, TAKING OCCASION BY THE COMMANDMENT, WROUGHT IN ME ALL MANNER OF CONCUPISCENCE. fOR WITHOUT THE LAW SIN WAS DEAD.
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

I don't know how these other people approached you on this subject but I hope these scriptures will help you understand our need to lead others to understand their need of repentance of their sin that they may then find forgiveness through the love of God in Christ Jesus our LORD.

God bless you!

Just block people like that. Don't allow Satan a foothold on you.

Be careful; sometimes the 'truth hurts'.
Recall also that as kids our parents might 'spank' us, but it was out of love(hopefully).
Suggestion; you may need to read or hear it; but you do not necessarily have to repeat it.
