God decrees when 'tis dark and when 'tis light. Just because He chooses to do so just when YOU SAY it corresponds to when it should be dark and when it should be light according to the Sun's orbit does not mean that God's chosen pattern somehow does not exist. He existed after all long before the crazy Round Earth people and the evolutionarists who refuse to see the light came into being. To entertain Himself, He even created them to argue against Him for His Own amusement. In a mere mortal Human that would be considered to be vanity, but we all know He is above such ethical considerations.
