My Sins & sinfull thoughts. Two weeks ago I had a Dream I was awake laying in bed & could not move, like I was paralized.I then saw a bright light mixed with many diferent colors & started drifting upword but then I awoke & didn't know if I was dead or alive. My dog layed down next to me & placed his head on me. I then knew I was indeed alive. Two days later I dreamed my deceased dad sat next to me,placed his face close to mine & asked me "What are you doing"? Last night I prayed very hard, confesed my Sins & woke up this morning feeling good.I got up early, got some breakfast, shaved my mustache & beard & got a nice haircut & am feeling preety good. My ? is, Do you think this is a sighn from God? This has hapen to me several times but,It only seems to last a couple of days. How can I keep this feeling going?

When you guys pray, HOW do you pray? For how long? What do you pray for?
I'm just curious.
And as I said, PLEASE, this is a question ONLY for Muslims. Former Muslims can answer though.

Not only do almost all of the Biblical patriarchs have multiple wives, but Jesus himself never comes close to criticizing polygamy. In fact, as you may recall, in the Parable of the10 Virgins (Matthew 25) Jesus distinguishes between 5 virgins who were wise and 5 who were foolish. They are all waiting for their groom to arrive and the 5 that prepare their oil lamps in anticipation of his arrival are rewarded with his "companionship" and he shuts the door in disgust on the 5 foolish virgins who failed to prepare. Of course, the theme is about preparing for the Judgement, but my point is that Jesus plainly had no problem with the fact of polygamy, and in this story he implicitly approves of it. I have spoken with countless Christians who aren't familiar with even this elementary story (I mean really, guys, the Gospel of Matthew?) so if you wonder why social "liberals" are so quick to respond patronizingly to evangelical moralizing about sexual issues, here's a start.

I don't really care too much about politics so I really don't have any negative feelings for Fox news being conservative. Although this was a while ago, don't most of you conservatives agree that Fox news made a very bad decision when they decided to popularize OJ's book, "If I did it"??????

Do Christians feel any stewardship responsibilities to this world, or does their faith that the will be swept up from it absolve them from this responsibility?

Okay, I had this deam at 10 years old or so and for some reason I'm just remembering it. But keep in mind at 10 years old I had no idea what any of this was.. and I didnt at the age I am now because I am not an active church go-er... or bible reader.. I believe in god.. I guess I've just been a lazy believer.. anyways.. I had a dream I took a field trip to a place called mt. of olives.. and it had a giant cross on the top of it and I was carrying giant tree branches with a bunch of other kids.. and we were dancing.. after I looked into it.. I found the significance of the mt of olives and I assume the branches are maybe palm branches?? but I dont know.. what could it mean though?? and I dont wanna hear crap about God doesn't exist and bla bla bla.. that's not an issue I am trying to argue about.
Thanks!

Why when this is the most negative plain and we are in our most imperfect form would He judge us so harshly? And why do some have so much more time on Earth to get it right?

We have satan without and the flesh within that continuely war against us to keep us from going on and growing in the Lord. The besetting sins.. the temper... the lust and pride are just some of the daily things we are faced with. As believers, what sort of means did the Lord give us to deal with this matter of the Flesh in us. We see that the flesh lusts and wars against the spirit within us. We are made up of three parts.. body... soul.. and spirit...( 1 Thess 5:23)
The flesh is the fallen body
The Self is the fallen soul
And our spirit is that part of us where God inhabits and dwells.
So this war that wages between the flesh and spirit has its middle ground in the soul of man.. mainly the mind which chooses to be set on the flesh or spirit each day ( Rom 8:6) How, as a believer do you stand with the Lord in your spirit to subdue the flesh.

Pagan Earthgirl asked a question: If I changed "God" to "Goddess" on all of my currency...?

Which brings up another question.....Who's going to do it? maybe we could get a whole group of people together?

Wouldn't that be funny if you found one that said that?

Someone I know was very excited to tell me yesterday that the world is definitely going to end on December 12, 2012 because all of the planets and the milky way are going to be in alignment withthe sun and that a number of catastrophic events are going to occur.. Okay I know i'm no astronomer or scientist I'm just a human here on this beautiful planet but i'm pretty sure that this has happened before.. right? The planets aligned and the poles changed and that was nearly 3,600 years ago and we're still here.. I'm just wondering, does anyone believe this junk? Supposedly there are thousands of scientists and NASA researchers that are supporting the idea but I want to know where the non-supporters are, like the supporters of our planet?
