Someone I know was very excited to tell me yesterday that the world is definitely going to end on December 12, 2012 because all of the planets and the milky way are going to be in alignment withthe sun and that a number of catastrophic events are going to occur.. Okay I know i'm no astronomer or scientist I'm just a human here on this beautiful planet but i'm pretty sure that this has happened before.. right? The planets aligned and the poles changed and that was nearly 3,600 years ago and we're still here.. I'm just wondering, does anyone believe this junk? Supposedly there are thousands of scientists and NASA researchers that are supporting the idea but I want to know where the non-supporters are, like the supporters of our planet?

The Mayans calendar ends on this date. When the Mayans were conquered and being converted to Christianity, their library of books were destroyed and burned - except for 4 of them. Of these, one was the Mayan calendar which predicted a terrible day on 12-21-12. It is correct that the planets will be aligned, and that it will be the winter solstice. But, it will not be the end of the world.

On 12-22-12, there will be another sunrise and life will continue. How do I know? Because Jesus has yet to return and rule for 1000 years.

What will happen between now and then? I can not predict - but I will say this: Before Jesus returns, there will be terrible days of war, death, sickness, famine and destruction. The Bible predicts a global war where 1/3 of mankind will die (that is 2 billion people).
