I think that there is zero chance that anything will hit Christ if the rapture comes prior to the end of the world. As far as the shuttle is concerned - If the rapture comes and the space flight begins at the same moment, perhaps some of the crew will disappear and some of the ground crew as well and there will be a scramble to cover the work they were scheduled to do. However, the members of the crew on earth will be so shaken by the event that it may be difficult to get a grip on what they were doing before it happened. The other members in the shuttle will also be in a state of shock when one or more of the members of the crew disappear and will become disoriented and fearful. Of course the news media will write it off as space aliens coming and taking our people away because they certainly would not admit to the Christian world view of the rapture, and perhaps they will be under the rule of the Anti-Christ by then so they really won't want to report things as they really are. I could envision more but that should suffice.
You should be more worried about what will happen to you and the other people that will be left behind when Christ does come if you have never received Christ as your Saviour and Lord. The Anti-Christ will be a sweetie pie at the beginning but he will be a tyrant after he suckers everyone in.
EDIT: TRUTH IS TRUTH WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.
IT ALWAYS AMAZES ME THAT PEOPLE ASK QUESTIONS THAT THEY DON'T WANT THE CORRECT ANSWER FOR. I am beginning to believe that many who ask questions in here have drain bamage. Get the point?!

I probably should not answer this question, as I am a top secret scientist with NASA. "Yes", as you surmised, we are working on a new proto-type extra-mystical radar that will detect Jesus and his angles too. The concept of the "trinity" is far too important to certain religious circles within our ruling class-- that if we were to accidentally hit Jesus, in mid- air, it would cause real problems ( imagine having to reduce God to a two-some?). Of course there will be a gigantic cover-up, right along side of our top secret UFO reporting and our time travel-machines. We already have our extra-sensory "Rapture Detection" machine on-line, and we hope to run a test this December 25th, to see if the proto-type mystical-radar is working correctly (we hope to track Santa Claus). We at NASA are spending your tax dollars wisely, and the trinity idea and Jesus Himself will be kept safe.

I'd think the number of airplanes that no longer have pilots would be a bigger question.
As for what happens next...when the rapture comes, will be just as surprised "when" it happens. But I'll be in the presence of Heaven...so I can't really tell you what I'll be doing...will I be stunned, will I be dancing, will I be weeping for those left behind, will I be walking with my mouth open because I've never seen such beauty.
Don't know...but I do know this...the rapture is not the only way I'll be making my way to Heaven. When He calls me home, I'm ready to go!

If someone reports a question, and answers that he is reporting it... can we report the person answering for reporting for no good reason?
And to answer: If he's corporal, then the radar would detect him, but if he's off of our physical spectrum, I don't think they have that.
