Two weeks ago I had a Dream I was awake laying in bed & could not move,like I was paralized.I then saw a bright light mixed with many diferent colors & started drifting upword but then I awoke & didn't know if I was dead or alive.My dog layed down next to me & placed his head on me. I then knew I was indeed alive.Two days later I dreamed my deceased dad sat next to me,placed his face close to mine & asked me "What are you doing"? Last night I prayed very hard,confesed my Sins & woke up this morning feeling good.I got up early,got some breakfast,shaved my mustache & beard & got a nice haircut & am feeling preety good. My ? is, Do you think this is a sighn from God? This has hapen to me several times but,It only seems to last a couple of days. How can I keep this feeling going?

I assure You He has Heard You;
Depression the curse of 21 st century;
I would suggest a medical check, may need Anxiety Med. 2nd walk 1 hr every day; Bedtime read Psalm 1 ch a night; have a set time for bed and set time to get up;Look around You,there is someone You Know, that needs You ,give them help,no fee.Don"t count on feelings ,They have many voices;This is a walk of Faith;

Many Christian mystics have had similar experiences. Some of these experiences are personal and some have edified others. These experiences sound personal to me but may be good for others to hear about.

Know that many Christian mystics have suffered from a perceived distance from God. This sometimes manifests itself in believing oneself to have inexcusable sinfulness or unheard prayers. We know that God forgives. We know that our prayers are heard. Sometimes we feel in our hearts that this is not true. The Church believes that mystics are actually closer to God when this happens to them.

Today, most in the medical profession believe that these symptoms can be treated. You may wish to seek medical help to keep your spirits up.

Yours in Christ Jesus, Grace

It sounds to me as if U have Accepted Christ and now need to go to School!! We have gone to School so that we can "Integrate into Society" and find our "Place" in the "Scheme of Things". So too it is with our Spiritual Life. We need to go to "School" in one way or another. So, here is "Lesson #1" God Did NOT Establish Any "Religion or church"! "Lesson #2" God left us His Holy Word, the Bible as our "Road Map" through Life! "Lesson #3" Find a Good Bible that is Easy for U to Read & that has a LARGE "Helps Section". Along with this, a Good Bible Handbook such as "Halley's Bible Handbook" will Add SOOOOO Much to Ur Understanding, U will think that U actually Lived the "Story"!!! "Lesson #4" Set aside a "Private Quiet Time" each day to study Ur Bible. "Lesson #5" Keep a "Notebook & Pencil" to write down Ur Questions, as they Will "Pop Up". "Lesson #6" Try to find a "Group of Believers" that meet together to worship with. This does Not have to be a "church". "Lesson #7" Prepare Urself Before Study by going to God for Confession of Ur Sins (NOT a Padre or Nun, they have no "Magic Powers"!) "Lesson #8" Check in here for Answers to those Questions as there are many very well "Grounded Christians" here who can help! Ur "Spiritual Growth" and the "Feelings" U have can Only Continue if U "Nurture Them"!!! John

It is YOU who is putting these feelings of guilt and frustrations into your own mind because you have bought into these silly, childish notions about reward and punishment.
If you're determined to become a mature, and morally upright adult, who has no need for the kind of reward or punishment that we use on our kids, all you need is to do the right things for the right reasons. Your common sense tells you what is right or wrong.
Get your mind off yourself and focus on the way you treat others. If you dwell on thoughts of saving your own butt all the time, of coarse you'll be insecure, and unhappy.
Your life is in YOUR hands. Stop thinking you need some external power to force you into becoming a happy, respectable, and mature adult.
Do the right things for the right reasons, and don't allow fairy tales to direct you toward moral maturity and happiness.

Your story is moving. The feeling is not necessarily a sign from a God, but it might as well be: it is hope. Hope that everything will be all right, in your heart, at least. Hope that you can be redeemed. But, you need not worry; if you legitimately want to get rid of your "sinful" thoughts and actions, it requires only that wish for them vanish quickly enough. Be willing to work to assure yourself that you are good person, deserving of happiness. Once you believe this is true, it will be true.

Strange dreams an hallucinations are a symptom of depression and other mental illnesses. I think it is time you go see the doc. There are many prescription medicines and some herbal ones that can really help you out and make you feel better. Some will work better than others and it is trial and error with some.

No, go to the doctor. A small amount of depression is the human condition, but feeling sad ALL the time is chemical, and very common. You dont have to stay like this, get help, now, it will change your life for the better.

That "dream" you had the few weeks ago was probably not a dream. When you fall asleep, your body paralyzes itself to prevent you from hurting yourself in your sleep. Still, sometimes it backfires and you wake up and can't move. You were probably half awake and half asleep, with sleep paralysis

The other dream is just a dream. If you want it to be, it can be from god.

This could have nothing to do with you're religion, like others have suggested! It sounds to me like you are depressed, you even said it, "I've been depressed now for ...) See a Doctor. I have a chemical imbalance, clinical depression and now bi-polar. I believe in God with all my heart, and like you dwelt on sins of my past, thinking that must be cause for depression. My parents, very strong believe in God, told it to me like this: God gave man the intelligence to recognize and make medications to treat mental illnesses. Never be ashamed to get help. Like my Doctor told me, only truly crazy people do not think anything is wrong with them!

Just always be honest before God - not just confessing your
sins, but asking the true questions of your heart.
Always be thankful for the small things and do not
ever let bitterness overwhelm your spirit.
Praise God fully for who He is!
He is your light - your rock, fortress, redeemer,
comforter.
I hope that was encouraging.
Take care and God bless.
