"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and importers led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." --- Thomas Jefferson

“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,

The Christian Trinity is a copy of the Pagan religion of Rome called Mithraism. Mithra was a half man half god who died for the sins of his followers. Guess what date the SUN god Mithra was born on ? - Thats right ...December 25th

The concept of God having a son is the basis of most Polytheistic religions and the exact opposite of the Abrahamic message of Monotheism. Your Lord is ONE – no partner, no Son , No God incarnate.

“The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.)

“The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil)

“In the Christian world, you do not talk about God, when talking of god. Every Christian talks about his or her own conception of God “ (Nicholas Berdyeau, Destiny of Man.)

"The New Testament is mysteriously silent about Jesus between twelve and thirty years. I wonder what the Son of God had been doing on God's earth during that time ! " (Max Marshall, The Great Fiction)

“I counted 30,000 contradictions in the New Testament. (Dr. Maile, Confessions of a Sceptic)

"Initially there were 34 gospels that were compiled by word of mouth. Four were chosen for unclear reasons and 30 were left behind [burned]. (Encyclopedia Britannica)

"Jesus and his disciples spoke Aramaic but the gospels were written in Greek ! A man in Jerusalem wrote Messiah's Biography on hearsay. That is what the gospel is. (Martin Springler, A Quest for Truth)

“Few scholars can disagree that the fourth gospel was written by some nameless mystic between 95 to 125 C.E. “ (Dr. W.R. Inge, The Fall of Idols)

"All the gospels - Matthew, Luke and John openly contradict each other. ( Earnest Renan, Essay on Nationality)

Galatians 3:28 says, "for there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave or free, male or female, in Christ we are one"

If Christ does not see us as male or female, how can he see us as gay or straight?

We are his children, plain and simple...

Please don't quote Leviticus, I Corinthians, Romans, etc... about homosexuality, we all know these scriptures...

I am asking about Galatians 3:28

So many times I have heard Christians say that they are the only right religon, and that all those who are not Christians are going to hell basically. Well, this doesn't seem fair to me. WHY would any fair God make those who live in a different secluded part of the globe, who never heard of christianity a day in their life, go to hell??? Well the answer is simple, ALL RELIGONS are correct.

God created different groups of people and placed them in different parts of the globe. Each of these groups had their own religons which all lead to God. This would explain why white people, native americans, africans, asians, basically all have their own religons.

i certainly don't think it is! as a muslim, i am ashamed at the way a few so-called muslims are reacting to salman rushdie's satanic verses. and i don't agree either with the way some christians have a strong opposition to harry potter. furthermore, some people don't read other people's religious texts, simply because it's not their religion.

isn't it better to gain knowledge and to learn different perspectives? if God gave us free will and a brain, why then can't we all think for ourselves and refute books we don't agree with? if you really are strong in your beliefs, no book will be able to change that!

i'm not trying to lump all religious people into one category. i just wanna know: what religion you are? do you think reading a book that may contain ideas contrary to your beliefs is a sin? why or why not?

Watch and support Harry Potter when it is about witchcraft? Whether it be about the conflict between good or evil it's still about witchcraft and the bible condones witchcraft. So why do Christians think this is right?

I've been shocked, but not surprised, to see that some users have attacked me for having the audacity to post questions/answers in the R&S area of Yahoo. It's been said that a gay person such as myself is only trying to start arguments and stir up trouble by posting here.

As a gay Christian, I intend to post here anyway, whenever I want, as often as I wish. My faith is very important to me as is my freedom of religion and freedom of speech. I intend to exercise both and if it makes any users uncomfortable, that's too bad. Christ tells us we are not to put our lamps under a basket and I don't intend to due to the intolerance of a few. To those of you bothered by my expressions of faith, don't read them. To the rest of you, I'm interested in knowing whether you think all Christians should have the equal opportunity to post here or should this area to be reserved for heterosexuals only? Thanks.

I find it very difficult to contemplate not using contraception. As a young woman living in a post modern society it seems blind to a lot of very important issues. I wouldnt dont want to get pregnant before i am emotionally ready for children. And STIs are rife amongst the young community. I think its a really important issue. I need some advice from practising catholics about their attitudes towards birth control. I feel that converting would be the right thing for me to do and yet this one thing keeps making me think maybe i'm wrong. Please help. And can none of the idiots out there leave me stupid abusive comments please. xx

"This textbook contains material on arithmetic which relies on number theory. Number theory is a theory, not a fact, regarding the division of integers, properties of primes, and congruences. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully and critically considered."
