10. What else is there?

Spiritual philosphies are useless unless they have practical applications, such as helping people cope with problems, providing comfort, showing a path to inner peace, or providing inspiration.

A spiritual philosophy that does not help the individual with any of these things, and/or does not apply to one's life experiences, might as well be an issue of Reader's Digest.

Right now it's a 10. I have no religion. I can't go back to Christianity, it denies people the ability to be themselves. I can't be atheist, it makes my feelings and experiences seem less than I believe them to be. I realize that most of them can be explained by science and psychology and I respect that, but I can't be a happy atheist. I tried. So all I have in my spiritual life is personal experience and the inspiration it gives me to be a better, happier, more giving person.

Zero...

I really don't think of myself as having any kind of a "spiritual life."

I certainly enjoy life and I surely derive happiness and satisfactions from the things around me and the things I choose to do; my relationships with others tend to bring out my best and worst; I'm compassionate and empathetic; but, I don't consider any of this spiritual in the least way.

Spiritual to me is a term applied to that which is unreal, the supernatural, the incredible, the unbelievable, the fanciful, etc., etc.. Although I can be just as entertained and "into" that which is "far-out" or "science-fiction" or "thrilling" or "emotionally attractive and romantically provocative" as anyone else could claim, I am able to return myself to reality and recover quickly from such unreal and adventurous journeys of unthrottled, unregulated, emotion by choosing to keep my feet firmly planted in reality. Although, like most, I'm a dreamer, too, but I am not a fool trapped helplessly in a fools world ... I am not a spiritual person. I'm rational.

I do not trust my feelings in this kind of matter. I have been wrong with my feelings so much that I know I cannot rely on them.
I study the Bible regular basis and I also pray and listen contemporary Christian music to keep me tuned toward
I enjoy the personal realtionship with my Lord, but I work on keeping me close to Him because it does not come all the time naturally in this busy world.

Zero.

Spirituality is religion for fence sitters. Until someone can produce actual evidence of spiritual phenomenon, it's just another form of superstition.

10. Spirituality is a part of personal evolution and growth to realize your inner self. Through introspection, or meditation or prayer one can see the inner self where Super-conscience(God, Almighty,Allah, Krishna, Yahveh, etc) is a part of your self-conscience.

If I cannot see that for myself, I wouldn't be able to see the same god in other things(friends, family, pets, everything around us).

Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Personal experience/inspiration is the application of faith to life. Faith not applied is false.
