Why can't you picture a universe without a creator?

If God didn't have a creator why should the universe have one?

See this question and the answers. It is a serious question, but some of the answers were just...mean. I mean, I get free speech and all that, but why do some people think it belongs at work? Is my only choice to quit without talking about atheism and go elsewhere or have christianity pushed on me? Or be fired for making my atheism known?

what i mean by this is: pagans don't try to convert anyone. we know that if people see our way as the right way for them, they'll find us. we know that our beliefs will thrive whether we push it on people or not.

christians seem to be insecure about their religion's place in the world because they feel the need to dominate it (the world), wiping out every other religion in it's path (history proves this) in what seems like an effort to prove to themselves that they are right.

agree or disagree?

I have a question that i am legitimately curious about. No baiting or trolling.

Do you believe heaven is the same for everybody? Does it change to be your personal heaven? The description of heaven in the bible is very vague other than that it is generally a desirable place to be

I have Mormon relatives and it seems like it's all about which religion is better. I'm Catholic and my parents are always arguing with them about religion saying Catholicism is the only true religion and they believe that Mormonism is the only true religion. We're all worshiping the same God aren't we? God loves us no matter what religion we are. Anyone agree?

I am not looking to start a fight but simply ask a real question. Why do people get angry with Christians for trying to convert people. It is part of our belief to do it with the gentleness of Christ. Obviously if someone does not want to convert then ok we cant force them and most of us dont. However people from other religions or atheism say that everyone should have the right to practice their own beliefs in the way they like yet they get angry when Christians do it. Why is it ok for everyone else but not for Christians. I am sorry if anyone has had bad experiences with Christians but many of us are really trying to live the life that we believe God has called us to live you cant be mad at us for that. We are not perfect we are afterall still human. I just dont get it. Please dont be rude in your answers just use tact and be honest. Remember im not picking a fight. This is just a sincere question. Thanks

I have nothing against you. In most cases I understand where you are coming from. Have been in the church world all my life and there's not much that would shock me any more, or less.
I have many friends who are atheists and agnostic, and others who have left the faith and still believe. No matter what, we each respect each other, and are not vicious just because one believes something different.
I still have the right to say to each of you as I always do for my friends... God bless you.<><

...It doesn't appear that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt believed in the "separation of church and state." He prayed publicly and asked the American people for continued prayer during the Normandy Invasion and for the rest of World War II. He sought the Lord's grace, strength and help for our soldiers, as well as those who served at home. He prayed for victory, that our freedoms and civilization might be preserved, and that we be spared from tyrants.
...I haven't heard of anyone's feelings were irreparably damaged by having to listen to President Roosevelt humble himself and pray....
...Any thoughts or comments?
