I have Mormon relatives and it seems like it's all about which religion is better. I'm Catholic and my parents are always arguing with them about religion saying Catholicism is the only true religion and they believe that Mormonism is the only true religion. We're all worshiping the same God aren't we? God loves us no matter what religion we are. Anyone agree?

K I'm not asking if religion is true or not. What I'm asking is why do religions bicker with each other when they should all get along because we're all Worshiping the same God.

No, I DO NOT agree with Your confusion...here's why:

religion, organized or not, is Spiritual fraud;

Universal Truth eliminated religion from Spirituality a long time ago...

Here's the simple Solution for religion:

Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.

I agree we all worship the same God but in different ways and the choice of how we worship should be ours. I was lucky. My family had two religions. On my mother's side of the family they were High Anglican. This is Anglican or Church Of England. The service is the same as the Catholic Mass except They don't worship the Virgin Mary or say confession to the priest. My Uncle was Salvation Army but I was allowed to choose the church I wanted to attend. I chose the United Church Of Canada.

Mormonism is a lot closer to Scientology than Christianity. They don't think of Christ the way we do.

They think that when they die, if they've led a good life they get to go be god over some other planet.

Oh, and only the men get to be gods.

You might want to buy your parents a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Arguing like that is against its teachings. We are to answer questions in matters of faith. But not beat people over the head with our religion.

The god of Mormonism is not the God of the Bible. For instance, they believe that God was Adam and progressed into Godhood, the God of the Bible always was God, eternally, and did not need to progress. Check out this link to become more educated on Mormonism:

The idea that God loves everyone is not Biblical.

Mal 1:2 I have loved you, says Jehovah. But you say, In what way have You loved us? Was not Esau the brother to Jacob? Yet Jehovah declares, I loved Jacob,
Mal 1:3 and I have hated Esau and have made his mountains a desolation, and his inheritance to be for the jackals of the wilderness.

Rom 9:11 for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of the One calling,
Rom 9:12 it was said to her, "The greater shall serve the lesser;" Gen. 25:23
Rom 9:13 even as it has been written, "I loved Jacob, and I hated Esau." Mal. 1:2, 3

John 3:16 says that God loved the world so much that he sent his only begotten son so everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.

So, yes, God loves us all. But there are practices that God does not approve of that has been incorporated in religions. So it is up to us to make sure that whatever religion we belong to adheres to God's law, the Bible. Whether that is Catholic, Mormon, Baptist, Church of Christ, Jehovah's Witness, Full Gospel should be decided AFTER we have studied the scriptures carefully - not as the result of a family feud.

A higher up? Only God can determine if you are going to hell on the judgment day. If you believe in Jesus Christ and ask him to forgive you of your sins and recognize the sin trap that you fell into before and don't do it anymore. God is a loving God, like you said and the "You're going to hell" attitude if you don't follow the church is a real bad sales pitch. it's not just the Catholic church that uses it but some ultra conservative Protestant churches as well. If you back slide into the same sin pattern, than you can talk to God and ask forgiveness.

Mormons don't worship the same God as the Catholics. In fact they don't worship the same God as anyone. They are a cult who have changed and perverted the Bible.
But yes they both have superiority complexes. The Mormons think they are the true church and God was a Mormon. The Catholics think they are the true church because Peter founded them (untrue).
God loves everyone and no he don't like all religions. Remember he ordered his people the squash the false ones.

Why do Ford guys bicker with Chevy owners? Should I join the Masons or Shriners? Are Edsels truly collectible?
This could go on forever, but you get the idea.

Humans tend to divide into tribes of some kind of commonality and a form of justification is criticism (or 'bashing' if you hear it from a certain types) of the 'other guys' weird or incredulous 'belief', or type of car they own.

Civilizations are started, thrive then vanish as humans move on and establish "Beliefs" that are exclusive.

When people finally move from religion to relationship I believe we will see life as God intended it to be!

There are two commandments of the new testament:

1) Love God with all your heart, mind spirit and soul - Relationship with God

2) Love your neighbor as yourself - Relationship with others

That just about sums it up!
