Aside from the many thumb downs to anything against their beliefs - there appears to be a new trend of report, report, report against intelligent and logical answers?

Hello everyone!

I'm a 15 year old,and since I became around 13,I started actually thinking about religious issues and actually thinking hard about them and thinking of other possibilities and sometimes I have doubts

I'm happy with religious beliefs,on the contrary, but I feel sometimes guilty that I question and think "What If?" and I wonder that if i'm a believer, why am I questioning?

Is it a normal phase that teenagers go through, like sort of a self-discovery period in teen life,or does this mean I need to explore other religions?

Thanks very much! ~~~Salam

It is truly disturbing to me that in this age of science that a project like this could get any backing. When are these fools going to wake up and realize that "creationism" was disproved a long time ago? I'm sorry if it upsets your belief system but deal with it!

He needs our support and continued inspiration from God.

Einstein was a deist. Why do so many claim he suffered from religion? From what I've read he apparently believed in a creator, but he never said anything supporting the bible or any religion. Am I wrong?

we do a lot of these things to improve our appearance, but is it wrong to want to look better to feel better about oneself?

if not, really what are the reasons for you not to believe in this scientific theory(note:the definition of a scientific theory is VERY different from the word "theory we use in day to day life") which is just as well established as the theory of gravitation and has MASSIVE amounts of evidence to back itself up?

other than the fact that it disagrees with the Bible version,do you have a reason?

I have read somethings that said that truth is relative. Meaning truth is only what one wants it to be. If this is true does that mean if I get enough people with me I have enough might to declare whatever I want to be right until someone stronger than me pushes me aside and asserts there morality?

When will you christians repent and realize that salvation is only possible through acceptance of Allah and Mohammed. We are growing in numbers every day, and in America, we will soon outnumber you. Read the koran and see its beauty. Will you convert?

"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

--Matt. 24:24

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of."

--2nd Peter 2:1-2

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

--Matt. 5:16

It scares me a lot. Remember when men used to play sports and be men?

Now they run around with makeup on, wearing tights and talking about loving a tree, or whatever this new age crap is about.

No wonder women are running around scared and clueless.

2nd law of thermodynamics: Physicist Lord Kelvin stated it technically as follows:

"There is no natural process the only result of which is to cool a heat reservoir and do external work." In more understandable terms, this law observes the fact that the useable energy in the universe is becoming less and less. Ultimately there would be no available energy left. Stemming from this fact we find that the most probable state for any natural system is one of disorder. All natural systems degenerate when left to themselves. it is well known that, left to themselves, chemical compounds ultimately break apart into simpler materials; they do not ultimately become more complex. Outside forces can increase order for a time (through the expenditure of relatively large amounts of energy, and through the input of design). However, such reversal cannot last forever. Once the force is released, processes return to their natural direction - greater disorder. Their energy is transformed into lower levels of availability for further work. The natural tendency of complex, ordered arrangements and systems is to become simpler and more disorderly with time. Thus, in the long term, there is an overall downward trend throughout the universe. Ultimately, when all the energy of the cosmos has been degraded, all molecules will move randomly, and the entire universe will be cold and without order. To put it simply: In the real world, the long-term overall flow is downhill, not uphill. All experimental and physical observation appears to confirm that the Law is indeed universal, affecting all natural processes in the long run. Naturalistic Evolutionism requires that physical laws and atoms organize themselves into increasingly complex and beneficial, ordered arrangements. Thus, over eons of time, billions of things are supposed to have developed upward, becoming more orderly and complex. However, this basic law of science (2nd Law of Thermodynamics) reveals the exact opposite. In the long run, complex, ordered arrangements actually tend to become simpler and more disorderly with time. There is an irreversible downward trend ultimately at work throughout the universe. Evolution, with its ever increasing order and complexity, appears impossible in the natural world.

Perhaps you've heard of this. This woman claims that Harry Potter promotes witchcraft, which is a religion that is actually practiced by some people, so therefore it violates the separation of church and state, and should not be allowed in the school library.

Now I will say this... I would actually agree with this twit, if in fact, books dealing with religions were not allowed in public school libraries. However, to my knowledge, those books ARE allowed in school libraries, so she therefore does not have a leg to stand on.

But I admit, I may be wrong about that. For example, are The Chronicles Of Narnia books allowed in school libraries? How about the Torah, the Bible, the Koran?

I honestly don't know. But as I said, if religion is strictly prohibited from being in school libraries, then I agree that Harry Potter should not be there, either. (No matter how ridiculous it is to compare a child's fantasy book to real life :)

Paul says you have been saved by grace through faith, it is a gift of God, not of works lest you should boast. James says faith without works is dead. I'm not sure if I should believe in faith alone or faith with works. Should I take the Protestant approach or the Eastern Orthodox one?

I have discovered after reading some answers that the bible was originally in Greek. If Jesus is from Palestine, then why do people say the original is in Greek. When i was growing up, i was taught the original bible was written in Latin, then i was told it was written in hebrew and now today there seems to be more confusion caused as people say it was written in Greek. What language was the original bible written in and by it being translated many times over, has some of the meaning not been lost as one bible from 10 years ago is not the same as todays?
