It started in April 1830. The USA was formed in 1776, so the age of the US is the difference between the 2. Sorry that I am a "big picture qualitative guy" and I can't tell you the answer to that. I know that there is a positive remainder less than 100.

Depends on how you interpret history and the term "Mormon"
Apparently the Nephites were practicing all the doctrines of the 'modern' church decades before christ, so that could put the 'mormons' older than catholicism.
Joseph Smith had his first vision in 1820, 1822, or 1824 depending on his mood at the time he was dictating his 'memoirs'.
The Book of Mormon was published on paper in 1830, but the claim is the golden plates were held by Moroni 400AD. His dad was Mormon.
Laban of Jerusalem had his family plates of brass stolen from him by the original Nephi, who also beheaded him for god. The brass plates contained a family genealogy, but I no longer remember if they were 'translated (correctly) or not.
So take you choice: somewhere between 600 BC to 1830.

The Church organized in Fayette Township, New York
The US was 54 years old.
New York, not Utah! They moved to Utah after they were persecuted and run out of the East.
I wish people would try looking into the truth before passing judgment.

CTR does not equal WWJD. WWJD = What would Jesus do. By the way Jack the ripper was running around in England when Joseph Smith started the church.

it was in the early american settling days...some guy in utah got "messages from god" and demanded seclusion from the rest of civilization and attempted their own type of government i think....but, unsuccessful....BIGONDRUMS....if that is untrue than my US history teacher and the text book in which i read is the ignorant one not me!!!......i did my resaerch...every thing that i have said may be general but it is completely accurate....so...thanks for the attempt at wisedom...OH MIGHTY GRASSHOPPA!!!...but, you have fallen short....according to you...if you are "ignorant" than it is best to keep quiet and STAY "ignorant", yeah thats some good philosophy....that way we will ALWAYS be ignorant!!!(that doesnt seem fair, that seems incredably oppressive and i feel sorry for any woman within your aquaintance because you probably use that same philosophy in every aspect of your life as well).....
