Many christians seem to be obsessed with Evolution. It's like a God vs. Science attitude. Not all Athiests are scientists, and i'm sure a small minority would reject the notion of evolution. (I say a small minority, because when presented with the evidence, it is very difficult to reject evolution)

It seems to be the case, that Christians are of the opinion that the truth is out there for us to find. If we reject the notion of christianity, they ask us what our explanation is? Many assume we automatically favour with theories such as evolution and the big bang.

A pastor recently preached a sermon on Noah's Ark. And he brought up the point that although the story tells of the "entire world" being flooded, perhaps it was really just one small area.

The reason is that people verbally passed down the flood story. And there was no Internet or TV back then, so to people living in, say, a large valley... a flood in that valley would seem like the whole world to them.

So what are your thoughts on this viewpoint?

In and out of the school setting. How often were children shot in school when there was group prayer? How many schools had to have armed guards during that time in which prayer was encouraged?

So if the entire world was flooded with rain which is fresh water, it would have mixed in with the sea water and altered the salinity levels of the sea water. Why didn't the sea life die? changes in salinity levels kill fish.

...if there Is actually Nothing more than This

...would it matter whether you are a believer (in some god, whatever) or not? And if it's healthier to be a believer (gives hope and relieves stress - if used properly - and the rest of the stuff - crusades excluded) - then why be shy?

If there's Nothing beyond This, then "having the power to face the truth" wouldn't mean much either, wouldn't it.

What do you believe happens to you when you die besides sheol. Is there also a heaven type place, or do you have to wait for a savior to get all the souls out of sheol? I'm pretty ignornat about the jewish religion, b/c where i live there aren't many jews. This question is for jewish beliefs not what christians think will happen to jews as far as their religion is concerned.

People say he never sinned, but he didnt exactly follow his commandments did he? He disobeyed his parents by staying in the temple to teach...regardless of the reason, that was still disobedience. Think of the countless number of people he has killed because they werent doing what he thought was right...but now its all of the sudden a sin to have an abortion... isnt one of his commandments "do not kill"? If you have the answers to this, please let me know, because it is really bothering me.
