Why do people mix Islam with world politics?

Islam is an international religion and Moslems are living everywhere.

People vary throughout culture--many practices that people attribute to islam are really only cultural ones. Its in human nature to generalize but people need to understand that culture has nothing to do with Islam. All Arabs are not muslims and all muslims are not Arab. There are muslims of all races countries gender and ages.

The answer: Because the stupid radicals in the Middle East planned 9/11 and that went into politics.
Islam on the news is rarely if ever true Islam.
I literally cry whenever i see pictures of Iraq and the extreme Muslims..because it makes me so mad that humanity sees these people who claim to be Muslims. These Muslims just don't realize buy there actions they are pushing the majority of people away. though many converts are because they see these Muslim people on the news..and want to see what this religion is all about and they realize that it truly is a peaceful religion. I am crying right now because i just don't understand what happened to the Muslim people. They used to be the strongest and respected people when it first spread and when it was revealed..but now it upsets me soo much to see my Muslims brothers and sisters acting in this way.
And honestly i cannot blame them entirely. Muslims have been oppressed by the American government for quite some time..And that's the part you NEVER see on TV. and because of the oppression they react and rebel negatively against the force that has oppressed them. Thats why they hate AMERICAN GOVERNMENT NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. I have family and friends in Egypt and when my friends find out that i am American they freaking whish that i could take them back to America with me..because they love the culture, food, clothes, music etc..they just don’t like the government. That’s how it goes into politics.

It is pure the oil wealth of middle east and mineral wealth of Afghanistan and Pakistan that world politics is taking cognizance of Islam.Since the people of other religions have lost hopes about their religious values, they do consider that internationality of Islam is an alarm for them.Look how their heads of state are jittery over few hijab wearing muslim girls, ignoring the millions of muslim woman aping their lifestyle.This is probably height of intolerance.

As far as I understand Islam covers all aspects of life and naturally covers politics. .

If you check out the governing systems of the majority of Muslim countries it reflects this principle. I believe its called Shariah law.

In England for example there is a movement from their huge Muslim community to have a dual system of law combining Sharia w/ the regular (and glorious) British legal system. Personnally I hope the Brits stick to their guns and leave it like it is.
