It defintely killed Christ. More than 5,000 witnessed it. He was stabbed with a sword and, not blood, but clear fluid came out. Yep he was defintely dead. Even then, he would have been killed by the embalming chemicals during the ceremonies. Or he would have suffocated and die of dehydration in the completely seald, small tomb after three days without water or new oxygen. He was raised from the dead. No doubt about it. 500 documented accounts of his resurection. The Crucifiction DID kill Christ. But, he rose again.

Well, we, as humans, can never be 100% what Christ died from. The only historical record we have to go on, that I'm aware of, is the Bible. Hence, you first have to decide how much you're willing to believe what the Bible has to say. Regardless, if you take what the Bible has to say, then there are only a certain number of things that we could suppose killed Christ.
Mainly, there is Crucifixion: Death could come in hours or even days, depending on exact methods, the health of the crucified person and environmental circumstances.

A theory attributed to Pierre Barbet holds that the typical cause of death was asphyxiation. He conjectured that when the whole body weight was supported by the stretched arms, the victim would have severe difficulty exhaling, due to hyper-expansion of the lungs. The victim would therefore have to draw himself up by his arms, or have his feet supported by tying or by a wood block. Indeed, Roman executioners were said to break the victim's legs, after he had hung for some time, in order to hasten his death. Once deprived of support and unable to lift himself, the victim would die within a few minutes. If death did not come from asphyxiation, it could result from a number of other causes, including physical shock caused by the scourging that preceded the crucifixion, and the nailing itself, dehydration and exhaustion.

Experiments by Frederick Zugibe have revealed that, when suspended with arms at 60° to 70° from the vertical, test subjects had no difficulty breathing, only rapidly-increasing discomfort and pain. This would correspond to the Roman use of crucifixion as a prolonged, agonizing, humiliating death. Zugibe claims that the breaking of the crucified victim's legs to hasten death, mentioned in the Gospel accounts, was administered as a coup de grâce, causing severe traumatic shock or hastening death by fat embolism. Crucifixion on a single pole with no transom, with hands affixed over one's head, would precipitate rapid asphyxiation if no block was provided to stand on, or once the legs were broken.

It was, however, possible to survive crucifixion, and there are records of people who did (as with hanging in the West). The historian Josephus, a Judaean who defected to the Roman side during the Jewish uprising of AD66 - 72, describes finding two of his friends crucified. He begged for and was granted their reprieve; one died, the other recovered. Josephus gives no details of the method or duration of crucifixion before their reprieve.

Also, there is the possibility that Christ died from the spear wound to his side, inflicted by one of the guards.

Crucifixion was a torture method of death. The body could hold itself upright for some time after being crucified, but after time it would need sleep, or rest. This would slump the body downward and suffocate the victim. It was not a preferred way to die, but it was useful to Christ at the time to show man that suffering is needed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So, in answer to your question,,, suffocation.

Well, take into account that he was savagely beaten. Then forced to carry his cross to the hill. He was then put up on the cross with nails through his wrists and feet (lots of blood there). To top it off he was speared in the side.
Do you really think the Crucifixion did not kill him?

The myth of Jesus Christ, perpetuated by the Roman Church. They both created and then put to death the same myth, and have benefited financially from this myth even to this day and beyond.

crucifiction is fiction. God did not let his slave/messenger/prophet Jesus ( peace be upon him ) die in this humiliating fashion. Jesus ( peace be upon him ) is returned to God for a time, Jesus ( peace be upon him ) will return to earth when God wills it.
